I am curious never had one of those "milkshake IPAs" . first question do any breweries between Burlington NJ and Glassboro NJ have them? Not looking to drive very far and not interested in stranding in a line to wait for a can release. Would rather have it on tap but if I have to would hit up the cold box at Roger Wilco for a single can.

    thanks!

Not sure about Burlington or Glassboro area, but I can tell you I've had a bunch of milkshake beers from a bunch of different breweries, including Cape May. Nothing, nothing even comes close to Tired Hands.

That being said, to your other point on the lines. There are no lines anymore at TH. Walk into the Fermentaria any day of the week and pick up the current itteration of milkshake. No lines, no waiting. It's a beautiful thing.

Pretty sure Icarus does one every now and again. Brix City just released Strawberry Jams a week or 2 ago, not sure how close you are to them. If you can make it to Tired Hands, I suggest trying one of theirs, as I feel like they are the forefathers of this sub-style ipa.

Not feel, they ARE the inventors of this style.

Brix city is a hike although i did see Strawberry Jams at Roger Wilco in Pennsauken this past weekend. Should have just picked up a can. Does Icarus beers make it to South Jersey? I remember trying Yacht Juice at AC Beerfest. loved it.

I think the OP isn't in the mood to head all the way over to Ardmore (though I agree it's the move if you want to experience the best/most consistent). But look for IPAs featuring vanilla beans and lactose. Icarus and brix are your best bets, but you'll need to get a four pack and the drops are on the small side, so check via Instagram for Icarus at least for drop info. Brix I haven't had but probably same method? Warning, there may be Tired hands ones you'd love (there's a wide swath) and other milkshake IPAs, both from Tired
Icarus generally makes it down to "Central Jersey" I think, but check their Instagram and they say where they're dropping what daily. Anything with lactose and vanilla by them would qualify.

I was going to suggest the TH beer garden (which is not that far if your range is Burlington to Glassboro) but it looks like they just closed it for the season.

Awesome, appreciate the replies. I will keep an eye out when Brix does another can release and see if I can pick up a can or two. TY!
