So planning on brewing Sunday for the first time in 5 years. I went through all my equipment last night and my 25' immersion wort chiller had a split in the copper tubing.. Thanks Ex-wife. Anyways I need something new for Sunday, so I'm thinking Amazon (have prime). Any specific recommendations? Should I go with a bigger than 25' one? I have a 15 gallon brew kettle and do 5-10 gallon batches...

    Thanks!

I was looking at that one, I guess I'll have to decide as to whether I will be brewing a lot of 10 gallon batches or not. I'd like the 50' one, but I didn't really want to spend that much right now.... I could upgrade later I suppose....

That one should get you through in a pinch. I converted to a counter flow chiller and am extremely happy with the results. Requires a pump and tubing but it is very efficient in cooling the wort, better than the IC I was originally using.

If only the copper is split and you have all the fittings, you might consider a trip to Home Depot....

Sounds like a manly project.... How much is copper these days? Might be cheaper to do that, and if I were to buy a new one, couldn't I sell the old copper for scrap metal?

Get a coil of 1/2" copper and bend the ends yourself. Thats what i did to make my second chiller.
