Just bought my ticket for the anniversary party. Can't wait to drink gallons of Citra/Nelson Showers, and Naughty Sauce.

I think they need to come out with a beer named Mosaic Flowers.

I liked Nobles Nelson better than Alpines. But, i do like Alpines Hoppy Birthday and Duet as my top So. Cal IPA's.

They informed me last night that they just made Amarillo Showers. Should be available in about 5-6 weeks.

Not soon enough. It'll probably be sold out at the brewery before it hits the stores.

Do you like the Nelson hops more than Citra hops? Or vice versa? Those two are my favorite hops. And depending on how its used during the brewing process I may enjoy the Citra more than Nelson or Nelson more than Citra. I've had a batch of Kern Citra that was okay. But the last batch they put out was the best. IMO. ABC Nelson to me has been pretty consistent. The ABC Nelson is a rye ipa. And I hate rye ipa's. But ABC Nelson is my favorite go to beer. Not sure if I'm going to like the next showers Amarillo. It's a good hop. Just not in my top 5. I may not like the next showers. Time will tell.

Well...I've only had ABC Nelson once and that was almost a year ago. I remember it having more of a green grape sweetness to it and not so bitter.

Noble's Nelson seems a bit more pungent, bitter, and dank...in a good way. There is a very slight hint of that grape flavor, but barely noticeable.

Interesting. This is the first time I've seen someone describe Nelson as "skunky".

I'd say "dank" is more like it. Nelson Showers tastes very similar to Stone's 2.14.14, a little dankyness, but not like 12.13.13.

On a side note, Stone's 12.13.13 was the most dank beer i ever had by far.
