    Question for the masses:

What is the bottle date for this beer. it does not look like it can be from the 07/2010 bottling, right?

Yeahhhhh. See i remember it as July 2010, but this bottle looks like it's from August or September....

I have four bottles left and they all look the same as yours. I also originally remembered it as being July, but re-reading the BeerPulse post above reminded me of the shitstorm when it got released early. So my guess is that either they didn't set the dating machine correctly, the machine really screwed up, or it was actually packaged in June (although that doesn't look like an '06' in the first segment of the date, either.)

Damned Founders need to travel back in time and get their shit together. Stupid half cut off bottle date! How am I supposed to review with this half ass stamped bottle!

I have two bottles of this left in my cellar but I don't see any date stamp. I know Founders in the past has used black ink and it's difficult to see, but where are you finding it?

Bottle neck. They also have dates on the bottom of the bottle too no? Didn't think to look there last night and the bottle is long gone

Yeah, it's on the neck. The number on the bottom is from the bottle manufacturer. If the bottle is empty (as in the picture), you can see it through the bottle. If it's full, especially with the darker beers, you have to hold it so you get the reflection of a bright light off the neck and turn the bottle until you find it. But both their old (dark ink) and new (bright yellow ink) dating machines often smudge the ink, making the date illegible. That seems to be the case here.

All of my bottles are dated 7/14/10, fully legible when held up to the light. Not sure on yours.

I too have several bottles that clearly are dated 7/14/10 which I would say was the "first" bottling and some of the ones that were sold early as this was not suppose to be released by stores at Founders request until later in September or the beginning of October as I recall. The rest of the bottles I have show the less than clear "half stamp" which makes it difficult to determine the month or day, but in looking at them I would say that the bottling date is 9/6/10. Perhaps one of our Founders experts can verify?

Well here's my issue. Look at the photo. It's clear that the first number is not 07.

You are right, it is not a 7. But as I said all the other bottles I have show the same figures as yours (although some are even less clear ) and that first set of digits has to be an 8 or 9. I say it's a 9 based on the shape of some of the bottles I inspected in my cellar. There definitely was at least 2 bottling dates.

A little off the subject...How is Nemesis 2010 drinking now? I have one bottle and was thinking of drinking it in the near future. Any input/opinions are appreciated. THANKS

It wasn't as good as it was when I had it 6 moths ago. I'd say it's peaked/declining personally but you should crack one and decide for yourself. It's must smoother and balanced than the 09 is currently drinking IMO

I had one a month ago and it was great! I haven't been opening them regularly, so I can't say whether it has peaked or not, but it sounds like I need to get drinkin'!
