I don't know if I can do 4 Tuesdays in a row.. they obviously are digging the mid-week release though.

Calumet Queen? It's newly tapped. Last Tuesday may have been the end of the run...

I hope they release something new today. It would give me an excuse to go get a case of ZD.

You need an excuse to go get a case of ZD? Weak sauce dude. I would think getting a case or two of ZD would be reason enough to go out there but I guess that's just my opinion.

You read too much into the post.

Just hit the brewpub up for lunch: no new releases today per the staff there. But pulled pork and a ZD case are awesome consolation prizes...

Ill be headed through there Thursday on my way to Chicago. I hope they have something limited, but I will be more than happy with a couple cases of ZD and some glassware.

I might be late to the party on this one, but Deesko! has been brewed before? Based on the reviews last time was in 2006 and maybe 2010 (one review).

    1) has anyone had the original Deesko and the new bottled version? How does it compare?
    2) Has anyone tried this beer yet? There's no new reviews and curiosity is killing the cat.

I was always under the impression that Deesko and I <3 Deesko were the same beer (with possible abv differences due to the finnicky nature of lacto / fermentation).

    If thats the case, it was last on about a year ago;

Can't answer either one of your questions as I haven't had the new bottled version, but the draft version from last summer was very tasty. Wheat / hay / strong lactic sourness and a higher than expected ABV made it stand out, but it wasn't the best berlinner weiss I've ever had. However, it might still be the best sour beer that I've had from Three Floyds.

I'd drink it sooner rather than later as you won't gain anything positive (in my opinion) from extended aging.

    Cheers!

They are indeed the same beer.

Thanks for the confirmation Adam. If anyone would know (outside of folks who work at Three Floyds) it would be you or Alex.

    Cheers!

Well, it's the folks at FFF that told me and Alex.

See ya in a week and a half, chief.

The syrup options when it was on draft last summer were awesome, though. Watermelon, lychee, and chipotle pineapple to name a few...
