Milwaukee was once home to many large beer gardens. All long gone.....

The Estabrook Park Beer Garden revived the beer garden tradition in Milwaukee a couple of years ago. Then in 2013, a second Milwaukee area beer garden opened in Wauwatosa's Hoyt Park.....the Landing at Hoyt Park.

This year, two more beer gardens open/ed in local parks. The Hubbard Park Beer Garden opened June 24th. And the Humboldt Park Beer Garden is scheduled to open June 30th.

In addition, there is a "traveling beer garden" sponsored by Sprecher Brewery that sets up camp for two weeks in selected area parks.

Estabrook is great! Love a good dunkel in a giant glass stein!

Its not new but silver creeks beer garden in Cedarburg is awesome right on the river. It had a public river walk added to it recently. You still can't beat it though, even if its a bit smaller now.

They also have plans to add a deck above the mill race to extend the beer garden a bit more.

Beer gardens are awesome. Even if they don't have enough craft beer.
