No it's not just you, I thought the same thing when I poured it, everything I've read about it says it's a pretty clear orange color, so I was a bit surprised when I saw this in the glass. This was bottled 3 months ago and it was in a box for a week on its way from Illinois to me. Could this have something to do with that? I don't really care either way, cause it tastes awesome.

You get Dales and Ten Fidy...you get the one's that matter!

But I can certainly understand your frustration. It does seem peculiar that you only get a partion OB lineup when you're, what?, a little over 3 hours from the CO border?

Please keep this thread focused on reviewing new beer that you've had on Sunday. Thanks.

I'm trying this unusual one from Dogfish head today, their Squal IPA. I was excited to try this one!

So it tastes great, the alcohol comes through a little on the smell, and it is very sharp in the middle but the aftertaste is sublime.

Ok, so I let it warm up, and that sharp character that was in the middle just smoothed righ out. It's very pleasant. I just had to let it warm up a bit.

Come on..you're messin' with me. My wife normally does not appreciate the craft beer that I drink, this one she likes, "Good stuff" [ the beer was good AND my wife agreed...good stuff.]

Overall its pretty tasty. Plenty of hops and a nice earthy presence. Seems a bit under carbonated tho.

Due to the strict rules of this thread (I guess you gotta drink the beer before posting in this thread even if you still plan on drinking and reviewing it, and its important to talk ONLY about the new beer you have just drank. I guess I didnt get the memo.) I dont feel the need to post here anymore. But, it's a fine idea. I have always liked the concept of new beer sunday.

(Nothing personal, just not my cup of tea)

    Cheers guys!

    Wachusett Larry. Nice stuff.

Also, re: color of Double Trouble--it's fairly light and even fresh I've always thought it was closer to yellow than orange, although I've never gotten out a color wheel to check for sure. Damn good stuff.

You say "strict", I say "clear and straight forward". We've been doing it this way for 380 weeks.

I do apologize. I was not aware of the guidelines, and I do respect them.

I'll be sure to follow them from here on out.

Well since you mentioned Citra, I'm having Citra Blonde Summer Brew from Widmer.

It's OK, would be a good lawn mower beer, but little else. There may be better uses for those Citra hops.

Pleasant here in the Columbia Basin. Temps in the low 70's, with broken clouds.

Pretty good day on the golf course for me, but not as good as Tiger's day apparently. I'll have to consult the DVR to find out how he did it. He was down 2 with 5 to play when I went to play my own game.

    Happy Trails!
