Good morning hazy hop heads and lazy lager lovers! Weather here in Central OH has definitely been on the warm-ish side and has not been great for outside activity (other than the pool). Hope this message finds you ready for another fantastic Sunday with all things new and beer related.

Thanks to malty for coming out of this summertime hibernation and bailing me out last week at the last minute. I had forgotten that my weekend trip to see my brother, sis-in-law, and new niece would impact my ability to get this thread rolling.

Just finished up my first MBA class this week so I'll be looking to do a little celebrating today. Lots of new stuff in Central OH to keep my palate rolling. We'll see what today brings.

Speaking of that, whatever you get into today this is the place to share it! Please post your clickable linked review, a picture of what you drank, and (at least) a good description of what you sampled today! We want to hear about it and this thread is your voice.

Thanks, as always, for keeping NBS fresh, informative, and fun.

Hope you have a fantastic Sunday and I'll be checking back later today with my reviews and to see what y'all are up to.

    Peace, love, and malty-ness,

    Matt

Loved it! Now, back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Hope to hear from someone else besides me today.

If NBS falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it do I drink a beer? [IMG]

    New American Wild Ale

G'day Matt and to the rest of the NBS-ites!

97° here in Casper right now. After drinking some ice tea, I decided to open my bottle and review this:

    http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/2391/47782/?ba=Bitterbill

With a name like The Vine, I knew what I was in for when I bought it from the brewery and despite my not being the biggest fan of beers using grapes, I quite liked it.

    Unreviewable Sunday

I have a few bottles from Michigan Brewing Company left in the fridge. Unfortunately, with the closing of the brewery, I can't do a formal review. However, I did take some notes in case it opens up for reviews once again.

The "Sunset Amber Lager" was pretty good. No bells and whistles, though it's kind of tough to really stand out as a Vienna Lager. I'd say it was a touch too malty. Otherwise, pretty easy drinking on a warm summer Sunday in West MI.

I might get to another before the night is up. I have the MBC Nut Brown Ale waiting in the fridge.

Sorry about that. The 3 other cans from that 4 pack were also not up to snuff. No dating on the cans doesn't do Wind River any favours.:slight_frown:

New Eng. Porter Sunday Week 383

Hello NBS'ers, the heatwave broke here on the ridge in Mid Hud Val NY, cloudy and bearable, not exactly Porter weather, but traditionally Porter was a year rounder IIRC. A tasty beer to enjoy as I do some long put off chores on this, the only "day off" this week. Hope there's a tasty American beer in your glass. Cheers! All

    Happy NBS to all...

Beautiful day here on Long Island with temps in the upper 70's and mostly sunny skies.

I vacuumed the pool and then did a little landscaping/weeding with the wife. My wife wants to find a "new beer" for herself this summer, she usually only drinks Corona. I bought a variety of beers for her to try, 3 of which were "new" for me as well.

1 and 2 were both Shandys...

    &
I shared one of these with the wife and decided to have another all by myself...

Ha! I've had the Leinenkugel before and thanks to you, I see I haven't reviewed it. It's only in cans in my market but I don't want a sixer of it. Old Chicago will come to the rescue.

Greetings NBSers, I hope this afternoon finds you well! It's a blistering 100 or so degrees here in already-too-hot Albuquerque, NM, but we have a lot to be thankful for.

Today's new beer is Ithaca's LeBleu, which I recently acquired in a trade from generous BA eyeenjoybeer. Deliciously tart and washing down some oysters on the half-shell quite nicely.

Got this record on the platter:

Until next time, I hope you all have a great Sunday and a productive week.
    Cheers!

I'm having a Lost Abbey and a New Belgium collaboration American wild called Mo Betta Bretta. I'm loving it, fantasic freshness coming from this beer.

Having double dry hopped ruination for the first time ever, on tap. Awesome beer, definitely the dankest I've ever smelled, straight up mary jane. I wonder how this compares to ruination 10.......hopefully I can find out soon.

    >>>>>> New IPA Sunday <<<<<<

Ruin IPA. The 5th in the 12 Beers of the Apocalypse series. Not a bad brew, but the rosemary and agave spice is a bit over done.

I don't think I would seek this one out, and March edition of the 12 beers is still the best in my book.

Sunny and seasonal here in eastern Washington. Temps in the mid 70's.

    Happy Trails!

    ***New Berliner Weisse Sunday***

    Greetings NBS,

A sunny and pleasant day here in Southern, CT. The day consisted of some chores, baseball watching, errand running with our baby girl and finally now a new beer.

Festina Peche is not something I would normally seek, but I was pleasantly suprised:

    NEW BOCK

It was hot here in IL, but I got some beer in my fridge I NEED to get through before it gets hotter!
I have eyed this one a few times over the last 2 weeks and today was the day... It's a bock by Flying Bison called Blizzard Bock.

To be honest, it wasn't very good. Not terrible, but not very good. Not one I'll be trying again.

    Greetings, fellow NBSers,
Started out rainy in the city built 'round the falls, but then the sun came out and things warmed up nicely. Paid a visit to Coeur d'Alene, and on my way back stopped at BiPlane Brewing in Post Falls, where I sampled several of their beers, including this one:
    http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/26619/82616/?ba=woemad
I also paid a visit to Iron Goat Brewing in Spokane, but they haven't been approved yet, so perhaps their beers will be a subject of a future NBS.
