Good morning conservative quaffers and liberal lager lovers! A bit of Indian Summer has hit here in Central OH. We'll take it today as it looks to return to seasonal temps tomorrow.

Welcome to a special Veteran's Day edition of New Beer Sunday. In a land full of wonderful beer choices (c'mon man, we're on a website where we can debate the finer nuances of craft beer without retribution! How cool is that???) today is the day to find something new and share a virtual pint with us!

Kindly identify said brew and post your linked review here. We'll take a good description full if your thoughts, musings, and witty banter if you're not the reviewing type. A picture is always fun if you have it.

Whatever ends up in your chalice, goblet, or flute today here's hoping it's full of something new and tasty. If you're a fellow BA who served, we raise a pint in your direction. If you know someone that served, raise a new glass to them today.

Thanks for keeping NBS fresh, informative, and fun. Good day and good drinkin'.

    Peace, love, and malty-ness,

    Matt

    ***New American Wild Ale Sunday!!!

    G'day Matt.

It's a balmy 8F here right now; Friday, we were in the lower 60s. How's that for a weather change??

My new brew for today just leaves me shaking my head with how great it is. I seem to do that every time I try a brew from Cascade:

And, here's a pic of my pour of this nectar of the gods:

Been trying to hit some of the Top 100 Beers of Fame that I've seen in the store but never got around to trying.
I must say, I haven't tried one yet that wasn't deserving of its status, and today's is no exception:

    Dogfish Head's 75 Minute IPA
    Neat bottle art:

Cascade hops produce a citrusy bitterness that complements the sweetness of the malt and the infusion of maple. Super-easy drinkability, as it is not as filling as their 90 Minute IPA and has a richer flavor profile than their 60 Minute. Truly, the perfect middle.

    To our veterans!

Good afternoon yall! Its a really warm day here in Central NC. Mid 70s and pure sun. I do enjoy waking up to a chilly morning lately--somewhere near the high 30s. With Thanksgiving coming soon, Ive been trying to save bottles of Great Lakes Christmas Ale, but Ive failed. So i figured Id grab another Christmas beer to celebrate the fact that I dont have to work tomorrow.

    I grabbed this:
I get alot of nutmeg and orange peel straight away on the nose. Its a spice bomb, but it works. Lots and lots of nutmeg and orange peel taste as well. I get some spicy ginger and cinnamon as well. This is a decent substitute for GLBC Christmas Ale and 12 Dogs of Christmas. It doesnt have same full body, I think it would be better if they added some honey. It would add a hint of dryness that this thing needs. Maybe it will replace the dryness from the nutmeg.

Overall, Id say a solid 4/5.

    Cheers mates!

A salute to all veterans out there. After a 70 degrees yesterday, we now have snow. What a difference a day makes. My NBS contribution today is a unique beer. A German style brown ale. Too bad the growler was a bit of a disappointment. Excelsior Brewing Bitteschlappe:

    Greetings NBSer's,
And a special hello and thank you to all the vets who served so well and contributed my be able to drink great beer without fear of anything other than a hangover. I raise a glass to you and who continue to serve.
Winter is creeping towards SCMN. Some drippy rain and a cold north wind. Made the garage turnover yesterday from summer to winter.
An ale from Colorado to help me with the transition. What is it about Colorado and so many very good breweries? I'm sure they are 2nd to Mn in getting my brewing $$.
I seem to like it more than most. Maybe it's the aging, but this is a very nicely blended and complex drink.

    NEW "ESPRESSO MILK STOUT" SUNDAY
    Greetings & Happy Veterans' Day,
Picked up a couple of inches of snow on Friday. More to come tommorow. Today it's supposed to rise to 36F, I believe.

Had a great college football Saturday thanks to EWU and UW, so I went with a Washington beer:
    http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/700/80740/?ba=woemad

A good, not great beer that I would drink again, though I'd prefer it in a 12oz bottle.

Overall a good porter, especially at this price point. I recently brewed a vanilla spiced porter and at last tasting it was still a bit cider-like. I'd have been happy if it turned out like Snowdrift.

Cool and gray here on Veteran's Day. To all my fellow vets, have a great day, and thank you for your service.

    Happy Trails!

Here's my last new beer for today: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/306/82098/?ba=bluejacket74

Blue Moon Farmhouse Red Ale wasn't too bad at all. There was something about it that I liked, but then it helped that I got it as a single. But it really wasn't bad at all, I liked drinking it. I've certainly had beers that were much worse. Once I get the pics loaded onto my computer, I'll post them in todays "What are you drinking" thread. Cheers everyone!

    New Fresh Hop DIPA

What an awesome spring, I mean fall day in West MI. Blue skies, temps topping 70, a little windy.

Got housework done, mowed the lawn, took a head count of 7 neighbor kids playing with our boys in the yard today, got in a decent run. I feel I've earned this beer.

Really solid offering from North Peak. One of the freshest bottled beers I've had. This place has really grown on me over the years.

    Greetings NBSers-

I had the same NB for S today. The 60 degree temps and sunny skies here in Southern, CT did not exactly match my selection but the beer was amazing and one I will be haivng more of as the holidays approach.

    http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/3818/86626/?ba=CHADMC3

Enjoy your NB selections and see you all next NBS.

Thanks to those who have served.

    New Imperial Stout

Good evening NBSers! The weather turned rainy and cold here as the day progressed in So. IL, so I decided to break out my bottle of DFH Miles Davis Bitches Brew. An excellent stout in my opinion.

Too bad the Rams tied with several opportunities to win against the 49ers. Looking forward to the Sunday night ballgame and finishing off a few good brews.

    Cheers!

    ***New Lambic-Unblended***

Good evening all you New Beer connoisseurs. I meant to post earlier but got caught up in wedding planning stuff; only a week left.

The day in St. Louis started off cloudy and windy yet warmer with temps in the 70s. As teh day progressed temps got low and its been raininig since after 12 noon.

Decide to go with a Lambickx. Pretty interesting. Nice sour notes that are also quite fruity. Almost no carboantion at all.
