    Happy NBS to all...

We got power back last week and just got the internet back yesterday.
Between yesterday and today I cleaned up the front and backyard with all the mess Sandy left behind.
I took a break for lunch, I washed down lunch with this beer...

    NEW BELGIAN STRONG DARK ALE

    Good evening NBSers

Had a nice, sunny mid-fall day in Southern Illinois. Looking forward to a long weekend for the holidays.
Pulled out a Sam Adams Thirteenth Hour for review tonight while watching some Sunday night football.

Very enjoyable brew and a little different, too.

    Cheers!

Greetings Mr. Belly and Sunday Sippers,

Glad to hear Sandra may have finally left LI for good.

Southern Ct offered up a sunny yet cool late autumn day. Pretty relaxing day with the fam after having breakfast at a diner a few towns over we saw on Diners, Drive ins, and Dives offering some bad ass hash that did not disappoint.

I too am enjoying a pumpkin ale before they are extinct for the year. A friend local to this brewery set me up with this treat:

Always been curious about that one. Guess I'll have to try it!

I know I'm a little late to the NBS table, but I (grudgingly?) had to spend all weekend with the kids on account of work being busy and not seeing them all week... Being a UPS driver sucks around this time of year.
Anyway... enough of my sob story. Let's talk beer:

Three Floyds released this "Saison" a few weeks ago and I couldn't resist grabbing one to tick it-- I just got around to popping it open and must say that it more like an IPA brewed with saison yeast. It is big, thick, syrupy, boozy, and hopped up.
Not bad... But not really what I was expecting.

Here's a link to my review for those interested--

    Cheers!

Oatmeal Stouts might be my favorite style beer and this might be my favorite oatmeal stout.
