Good morning leaping lords of lagers and maids of milk stouts!

I hope this message finds you ready for another Sunday full of tasty new beers for us to virtually share with fellow BA brothers and sisters. Weather in Central OH is crazy warm. Cloudy and in the 60's. Certainly not festive but I'm not complaining too much. I had the chance to brew a new beer yesterday. Thanks to my friends at Midwest Supplies they threw in an extra 2 oz of Summit leaf hops. I made those a late kettle addition to go with some Simcoe pellets for some hoppy holiday goodness. And it was just cool enough outside to ensure that my wort was ready for yeasty-beasties in less than 15 minutes.

This has always been a forum to share a new virtual pint with friends. I always imagine this as my virtual pub sitting around with friends and debating the merits (or demerits) of my new beer. Please share your linked review, a good description, and possibly a pic if you feel so inclined. This should be a place to find rest and enjoyment before gearing up for another week. I certainly don't want to trivialize or ignore current events but I make no apologies about keeping this thread focused on new craft beer. Thanks for keeping NBS fresh, informative, and most importantly, FUN. Good day and good drinkin'.

    Peace, love, and malty-ness,

    Matt

Great stuff today - day started off shitty (damn cats), but this beer turned it around... no kidding.
I picked this up for the weekend, and took some pics to capture the nice packaging:

Holy crap, beer dudes and dudettes... whatta beer...

So it's rainy and cloudy and disturbing lukewarm here (again) on LI, NY. And I was just dying to try my new beer...

Happy NBS to everyone! Here in Central Illinois it's partly cloudy and an unseasonably warm 45* out, not very Christmas like compared to what we are use to. Get to try this one thanks to an outstanding Cali BA that goes by the name of Pelican5.

Not as lovely to look at as Greywulfken's post but here it is.

Really enjoy what you bring to these threads, NBS as well as LNBA. Lots of thought and time put into showing the beauty of everybeer you enjoy. Now I'm inspired to go out and try one of the Vintage Ale's that I always see on the shelves. Cheers!

    New American Brown Ale Sunday

    Greetings to you NBSer's,

Lost all the snow we gained last week due to rain, of all things. I suppose these parts need moisture any way we can get it. Christmas light don't look quite as nice without the reflective white, but we will make due and there is more than a week to make it all right by next Tuesday.

Semi-local drink today- upper midwest with an eastern bent. Name doesn't quite capture the time of year, it being more fitting for about 6 weeks from now and a series of below 0 temperatures. Nonetheless a nice brown ale can fit the bill this time of year too.

This is a very nice brown ale. I know it's not a style that ranks high for many, but I recommend this for anyone looking for this flavor.

    Best week to all.

It's rainy, but not particularly cold here in Central NJ.

I'm doing the laundry and sipping away at a snifter of this guy:

It's a really, really fresh bottle and I honestly think some time will help it out a lot. I look forward to revisting it with some age on it.

Not bad, but love the wax dipped bottle. Expected more, but a quality SN product as always.

I scored two bottles of Double Crooked Tree last night... This beer isn't sold in Ohio due it's high ABV, but there they sat looking lonely on the bottom shelf in small town grocery store that I stumbled into. I can't wait to crack open one of these boys tonight.

    Cheers! L&T.

Late lunch of home made pizza and another new IPA thanks to Pelican5!
Like I said in my review. It's tasty but when you compare it to other west coast IPA's out there this one is average at best. Still have no problem finishing the bomber though.

    New Winter Warmer Sunday

Temps are starting to fall this evening in West MI. With the mercury nearing 50, this morning's charity 5k was met with a light rain instead of gentle flurries as the planners would have had in mind.

Taking a short break from a busy pre-holiday weekend to enjoy a tasty brew. It may be a little premature for the Winter Solstice, but Anderson Valley's seasonal sure hit the spot.

    Happy NBS to all...
Gray and rainy here on Long Island today. The wife and I did the food shopping and then picked up a few more Christmas gifts for family.
My 1st entry for this NBS was a tasty one...
