All the ones I have had and really enjoyed were that Brett/wild you describe so well, but would really love to try this one you call an organic iteration from Brewery Vivant!

Yeah. Bitter Monk is truly something else. Crooked Stave's Hop Savant series pulls off the same magic trick that Bitter Monk does, where the hops and the brett merge and do something neither on its own will do, though it's not as aggressively hopped. In fact, that one's really more like a great Belgian Pale with brett and a bunch of dry hopping.

As I said, some of my favorites are definitely in the hoppy BSPA/Tripel vein, like Piraat, Houblon Chouffe, and Le Freak.

Today was supposed to be my recuperation day from one of my good friends starting an externship in NYC and us living the high life celebrating his recent appointment. But when it's 85 degrees and sunny, and you have a fridge full of fresh IPAs, it's kind of hard to worry about whether your liver is finally going to die out from the abuse you've been putting it through for the past three days.

But being of sound mind and body, I decided to start easy and go from there:

Lawson's Finest Liquids Spring Fever IPA. Very hoppy and dank, still can't believe it's only 3.8% and not being mass-produced by BMC. I moved on from this delicious little treat to my first time trying this next amazing pale ale:

Toppling Goliath Brewing Company PseudoSue. Quite possibly the juiciest most mango-ey pale ale I've ever had. Will definitely be trading for more of this in the future.

I told my drinking buddy I'd keep going until I exhibit symptoms of acute hepatitis or start coughing up blood, but I figured after drinking the juicy hoppy awesomeness that is PseudoSue, life is still worth living. Happy NBS, BAs!
