or Vanilla, just drop a bean in and recap for a week and boom BCBVS

But yeah, I haven't had prop but guys I was talking to at TG have had 4 bottles each and only 1/4 for each of them had noticeable coconut flavors coming through

 

I think I'm going to take a little time off of BA stouts in general for the time being. Everyone I've had recently left me a little disappointed even when I've rated them high in the past. I literally had to force myself drink the rest of the Prop and had a similar experience with a 12oz BCBS the week prior. I think I've just moved my palate towards enjoying the spiced stouts for right now and BA stouts aren't jiving with me. I've still been enjoying regular stouts and coffee stouts but the BA's are just coming across too sweet and acidic for whatever reason.

I'll definitely try your trick as soon as I get back to "normal" haha.

Weather's getting hot here in SoCal? (And the humidity is creeping up--at least by west coast standards).

I found this one to be ok, kinda meh,

Sin Tax by Mother Earth Brewing in California.
As you can see I scored it lower than many, but it just didn't wow. Kinda thin, vanilla came and went with a bit of a metallic taste left on the tongue.

Yes pretty cool glassware...picked it up March 22 at the Missouri Beer Festival in Columbia MO. The other side actually says "Missouri Beer Fest" in red and a big green hop cone in the middle of the writing...thanks!
