Alright, well thanks for the suggestions y'all, especially @tasterschoice62 for the detailed personal recommendations. I'm really looking forward to exploring options in the other northern corner, and realizing that a single 12-pack shipper may make for some tough choices!

I thought I'd start my night off with the last of the pure IPAs that I picked up in Oregon (got some darker brews left as well, but I figured that those are less prone to the ravages of time...) and so NBS continues with Crux's Half-Hitch Imperial Mosaic IPA. It's... tough to pin down. The label proclaims floral aromas and mango/guava/stone fruit/lemon on the flavour. My experience did not match their aroma description in the slightest. I got more pepper and grain and... pulpy almost fir pitch on the nose though the flavour stayed truer to description. Mulchy at first, I did get waves of the fruits the label lists, and something else that I can't quite pin down. Ultimately I enjoyed it, but it perplexes me somewhat. Interesting if true!

I can't believe I forgot that one of my favourite groups of all time had a track named after today's holiday!

That's a beautiful story, thank you for sharing.
There's something to shared and built history that brings forth greater-than-surface-value and the last sentence of your first paragraph, and the following vignette approach the same theme from vastly different depths and angles.

Wow this NBs was outstanding as usual. Thanks everyone for sharing your new beer and your reviews. I feel very confident about the direction of NBS. I hope to see Dave back very soon and I want to thank all of you in advance for hosting eventually. I plan to simply alternate like dave and me. So next week it will be @Greywulfken then me again. So many of you have already said you would take a turn that this should be very easy. :grinning:

Happy Monday everyone and let''s do this again next week.
