Dark pinkish liquid with a fast lived off pink head. Smells like fruity vinegar. Taste is up front tart with a fruity back bone. ends dry and slightly more sour than the tartness that is on the front end. Mouth feel is juicy but ends quite dry and wine like. I like this allot I was pleasantly p[leased that it was more tart than the vinegar sour nose it has. It kind of reminded me of the Victory Kirsch Gose with out the salt which I also liked allot.

Tonight's new beer is Spin Doctor from Mikerphone Brewing although on the can it says it is brewed and canned at Slapshot here in Chicago. I saw this one day at the beer store and was intrigued. First, by the artwork which I think is cool and 2nd because it's a citra-hopped American Pale. Sound familiar to a couple very popular ones out there??? *cough Zombie Dust, cough Psuedo Sue. Anyways, it smells like citra hops in a near identical way to the 2 aforementioned beers being juicy, floral and orange and mango. I can detect a decent malt backbone that is a bready/crackery type along with a light caramel. Taste is quite reminiscent of Zombie Dust and I'm glad this comes in a 24 ounce can format. Makes me want to get more!!

That sounds about right. Glad to see I'm not the only teacher here! I will be honest after teaching for so long I really can't see myself doing anything else; except maybe brewing for a career but I feel that would be a long shot. Cheers to another year!

No gateway for me. Been getting fresh Mills River SNPA for $11.99 a 12-pack of cans at H-T lately. That's hard to beat!

That beer was quite tasty too. :grinning: Thanks again.

Hello NBSers. I'm a little late this week so please forgive me as I poured heavily yesterday. I have been meaning to get over to Magnify Brewing for weeks now and finally made it yesterday. Very happy I did and I will be going back. They did a great job with the bar/tasting area. Very well done, inviting and comfortable. Everyone there was outgoing and it was a great time. One couple that was there had just gotten back from a VT beer run just as I had and we had some good laughs and compared notes. LOL I tried several of their beers including a IPA, a double IPA and a Ale which were all very tasty but one stood out. Their Double IPA they call Whoa Nelly was fantastic. Excellent flavor and very - very smooth. Easy to drink even though it has a 8.0 ABV. Not heavy at all. Well done Magnify. You have a new fan.

Good morning, little late to the party on this one, but had a fantastic HF share yesterday and didn't get around to writing anything until this morning.

Anna is one of my favorite HF "shelf" saisons, so when Ann was a announced a few months back it was great news. Unfortunately I didn't win the lottery and was left like most of us: ISO Ann. I digress, lets talk about this beer:

As you see from the pour, this beer is hazy with a soft white head. On the nose you can pick up the honey/fruit with a touch of white wine quality. The first word that comes to mind as I drank this beer was how incredibly soft it was. Definitely get the traces of Anna but the wine barrel shines through in a mild, basically perfect way. The honey and wine's combination are truly wonderful. Carbonation is light/medium which works quite well with the flavors. This beer is complex in only the Shaun Hill way. One of the top 5 saisons I've ever had the privilege to taste. Cheers!

Thanks. It's a refinished mahogany Art Deco bar and back bar down in the man cave. It took two years and countless hours to restore. It's home to my collection of old school beer artifacts.
