New Beer Sunday (Week 674)

Just had a new roof put on this summer. Ouch. I put in new sod over the summer During the most humid week we had!!! And now we're having an architect help us reconfigure the kitchen/front rooms of our house. It doesn't stop. But...it's home. You gotta make it a where you wanna be.

 

Well Hello Late Night NBS.
We had quite the busy weekend here. We hosted my sister-in-law's birthday celebration yesterday. And today we had the honor of spending time with one of the greatest men I've ever known- my dad. We had a nice meal at a local BBQ/smokehouse restaurant then came back to our place, asked off a little bit of the meal (with our dogs of course), and the had a very proper birthday dessert- peach pie (yes, with ice cream!). I didn't fall to far from the proverbial tree when it comes to appreciating the simple things--and my dad and I both find peach by to be one of those simple, yet glorious, pleasures in life.

As for new beers. I had a few yesterday that were quite good from a local Orange County brewery, Chapman Crafted https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/45678/ , that has been putting out some really good stuff. I didn't get the chance to really "write the new ones up" but I wanted to give a shout out to the brewery. Hopefully next week, I can share a little with you folks.

I love that beer. I used to trade for it, but now they distro here.

 

It's fantastic, and even this fresh I can tell it's going to age into something even better (for my taste buds). I need to get a second 6-pack and test it over 2-3 years — if I can keep my hands off it that long, that is!

 

My new beer for this edition of NBS is Eel River Brewing Company's amber ale, which a good friend of mine sent to me in a package a bit ago.
