Double Sunshine and Triple Sunshine in cans? I think folks who have only had Sip are soon gonna have their minds blown.

My last new one for today, Fresh Seasons, a fresh hop NEIPA from HUB-

It looks murky and is golden brown with a head that recedes leaving a thin ring around the glass; ample lacing

Nose and flavor are unique (to me) and really nice. They’re dank and pungent with a hint of onions, along with unspecified sweet, fragrant herbs like a blend of basil and cilantro, and finally lemon an orange. In the nose, the dank notes are prominent, but in the flavor, the citrus is.

Feel like a medium light bodied; finishes semi-dry with a hint of bitterness

Overall, this is an outstanding beer with a unique flavor/nose profile

Bringing this weekend to a close with a great Oktoberfest from Heavenly Goat brewing courtesy of @lloyddobbler.

    Here is my review:
    4.03/5 rDev 0% | Score: 4.03
    look: 4.5 | smell: 4 | taste: 4 | feel: 4 | overall: 4

Poured from a crowler courtesy of @lloyddobbler.

A: Pours a light copper color with a fingers worth of off white head. The head subsides and leaves a ring of foam and solid lacing.
    S: Caramel malts yeasty bread
T: Tastes of yeasty bread and caramel malts. A hint of sweetness. Reminiscent of those diner rolls that has a bit of glaze to them.
MF: Medium bodied and clean. no hint of alcohol burn
O: If I was sitting in a beer hall I could drink this by the liter and be happy as a clam. Wonderful example of an Oktoberfest.

    Hello New Beer Sunday!!!

It is a bit after midnight here, but I do have extenuating circumstances, so bear with me. I was planning on doing my NBS from beautiful Boarder View Lodge on Lake of the Woods. I am home instead, and this is why

Might be hard to see, but all I can say is --- I HATE DEER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please hunters, bag the mofos!!!!!! I'm sure I did, but it ran off into the woods to die. I'm sure my car is totaled. I'll deal with the insurance tomorrow.
Here is a before of the car.

Farewell car. At least it did it's job, and we're all fine.

But, now on to fun stuff, and I sure as hell need it - BEER!!!!!

I was sorely tempted to open my bottle of Bruery Poetry, but, since I have to deal with insurance tomorrow, a lighter fare is in order

Alesmith Speedway Stout Vietnamese Coffee. Thanks to @Bum4ever for this beauty.

My mind isn't the best tonight, so my review isn't the best, but, here it is:

    4.44/5 rDev -1.3%
    look: 4.5 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4.5

This beer pours like motor oil. Thick, black. Tan head, 1 1/2 finger. Retention is good, and nice lacing on the glass.
The nose has got a nice mellow coffee aroma. Smooth smelling.
Taste/feel - Rich, and thick. Got a nice coffee flavor, that comes on the front, with a warm boozy finish, but not harsh boozy taste. The body is thick. Has a creamy feel right away when I sip it.
Solid Stout overall. Delicious and fun to drink.

See you all next week under better circumstances.

Just cracked one I picked up down there during GABF from the brewery. Definite diacetyl infection. Buttery mess.

Happy New Beer Sunday! My nightcap--and probably the closing post of the thread--is Jack's Abby Smoke & Dagger. My first time trying it.

It looks like Cola. Black with dark brown edges, and a small fizzy tan head. It smells a bit like Cola, too, but mostly intense pumpernickel bread! Sweet, very bready, lots of molasses, iced tea, milk chocolate, prunes and raisins, and spicy black licorice. Smells delicious, actually, like a spice cake.
Wow! It tastes so good. So, my only minor complaint with Jack's Abby sometimes is that their lagers are often sweeter than I prefer, but that works well with this beer. The malt sweetness lends notes of toffee, caramel, milk chocolate, and molasses to the very Cola and sweet black tea-like beer. The pumpernickel malt on this beer is huge, and I feel like I'm drinking actual liquefied pumpernickel bread. There are hints of cherry, plum, and raisin, and just a hint of clove and licorice on the finish, yet it's very clean and crisp.
This beer is excellent. I need to buy this regularly.

Not till the ice fishing trip in December. At least the resort was willing to carry over our deposit till then.

I wasn't getting a buttery mess and I wouldn't classify it as bad or undrinkable. There was just something strange about the finish in the taste that seemed out of place. My rating seemed close in line with the others, so I'm not alone in my assessment. I'll stick with Juicy Bits next time!

I noticed the finish too sort of astringent. Definitely diacetyl in the cans I got. Regular and QDH Juicy Bits were fine though.
