My new beer came from an awesome BIF package from @Mikexw - Black Chocolate Stout https://i.imgur.com/qI2kxZF.jpg
Wholly delicious and for a non BA Stout the taste and mouth feel was outstanding, I could actually taste the chocolate even though they don’t put any in, and for a Russian Imperial, the hops were not harsh ( or hot) at all. Excellent balance and imminently quaff able.

Great review and perfect choice of music and song. Love Zappa and Joes Garage.

Indeed, that was a most excellent first NBS post.

    Well Hello Late Night NBS.
While I am not one of the more verbose regulars, I sure do tune in each week to hear from those of you pros who lay down the prose. I hope we can come to an understanding that not too much has changed. I do agree with some of the sentiments along the lines of it feels a little bit "regulatory", but I think there is much more common ground here to let this go sideways. Let's keep up the conversation, beer focused of course, but amiable fo' sho. This is a small corner of BA, and it's more intimate. So let's stay welcoming, and if somebody shares a few more sentences about their life than they do about the beer, let's just accept that as part of the atmosphere here.

    And to beer.

Juicy IPA DDH (version 7) by Untitle Art

Poured from a can marked 01/10/20
A turbid peachy yellow swirl pushes a frothy dense cap upward. Some sticky lacing hangs on.
Citrusy notes of orange, tangerine come through, followed by some pineapple and an oatmeal like creaminess.
Flavor follows, but subdued. A somewhat warm bitterness, a hop burn perhaps, begins the ending a grassy herbal note closes it out.
Mouthfeel is medium with some carbonation staying in there.
Overall, the flavors hinted at by the nose were muted. Pretty good, but a warm finisher.

Not a disappointment, but the nose led me into thinking I was going to get more out of this one. I know, I know. First World problems.
    Cheers NBS.

Despite some protest at what was very little actual change, this thread turned out great. Thanks to those of you who got it or simply weren't bothered by it.

And now that the thread has ended, let's do a postmortem to help us move forward.

    What new rules?
    https://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/new-beer-sunday-explained.635787/

    What changed?
    1. We finally laid out the rules and explained the thread.
    2. We reminded everyone that anyone can start the thread, but please include a beer review if you do.
    3. We asked that you don't treat NBS like WBAYDN.
Aside from also including some helpful tips and reasons for the change, that's it.

    But why?
For those who were asking for clarity, you just needed to click on the link in the OP's post (or the above link) and read it. Mods also replied to the thread with more thoughts. It was all right there.

    Why were my posts removed?
    As per our terms/rules:
We also didn't want to let a few knee-jerk reactions ruin the thread for everyone else.

Why did you lock the new rules post?
Because it was meant to become a Help Resource, and there are no replies on any of those threads.

Did this have anything to do with BA being acquired by Next Glass?
    Absolutely not.

Thanks again to everyone for participating.
