Might have a couple new beers left up my sleeve for New Beer Sunday, #939, the final edition for Year 17 (Founded 2/26/05).

I believe this is my second beer from this brewery, the first being the 4.5% Gose listed as a Rauch Gose Pineus on BA.

The Silver Stamp Bar Notes: Gose filtered through pine needles. 6.2% ABV, $9 for 12 draft pounces served in a snifter (looks 10ish).

Appearance: Orange slightly murky pour, I believe off white head quickly left the building (very dark in here before I flashed my phone light). 3.75

    Aroma:
Decent funk, sweet, lemon, salt. Medium strength. 3.75

Taste: Consistent with aroma, tart, some funk, sea salt and lemon, getting slight pine but not as much as the 4.5% Rauch. So nice. 4.5

Mouthfeel: Digging the funk and tartness, both in proper measure. Light, crisp, refreshing, drinks way lighter than the ABV. Sweet but tart balances out, easy peasy. 4.25

Overall: This very enjoyable experience. Simple, elegant. Light pine the only note of contention. Definitely recommend. 4.25

Back to back, and a Beer Belly to Belly! Not my favorite style, but saw Kilkenny, Ireland on the board and wanted to dive in.

    Sullivan’s Malting’s Irish Ale

Silver Stamp Bar Notes: Irish Red Ale, 5% ABV, $9 16 oz draft served in a shaker pint.

Appearance: Dark brown ruby near black base, creamy generous off white head lingers over the base and leaves soapy lacing along the way. 4.0

    Aroma:
Malt, chocolate and caramel, fresh, strong and pleasant. 4.0

    Taste:
Consistent with the aroma, malty pumpernickel, caramel lighter here. Well executed. 4.25

    Mouthfeel:
Prickly light carbonation hangs out all night. Sweet, though within the style confines and a nice dryness and faint hops help balance this well. Easy drinking, clean finish. 4.25

    Overall:
This is a solid offering. Usually shy away from malty styles, but would order this again with confidence. Love it when a plan comes together. 4.25
