16oz can served in a curvy Fremont glass. Can is stamped LOT 2986/03/13:23, I think (some characters are a bit rubbed out). Got it from @NorsemanOne in a trade.

Pours a very hazy whitish-amber with about a centimeter of head that settles into a thin, remarkably even skin across the surface and about a centimeter up the side of the glass. Very pretty. Smell is muted (or my sniffer is muted), but I get some citrus and tropical juicy notes.

Taste is bright screaming tropical fruit and citrus pith. Juicy without being overly sweet, a bit of a vitamin C tablet tang to it.

Mouthfeel is surprisingly light and fluffy, with just a little chalkiness. Overall, this is a really nice beer.

They're hell-if-i-know and fuck-if-i-know respectively. Just in case you were wondering

Glad you like it! It's been no.1 on UT since it came out last summer I believe. I tragically have not had the pleasure yet

#2, a variant from 2022 from this iconic family of beers will go to my target in NBS BIF #17, who’s had a half dozen of the variants, but not the one I’m sending their way.

This beer pours a perfect onyx black with zero leakage on the edges and sports a dark tan head that is a bit creamy and sticks around for a surprising amount of time given the 16% ABV. A gorgeous representation of an imperial stout.

The nose is boozy up front, again no surprise with the high ABV, but there’s also huge milk chocolate, caramel, vanilla, oak, and stone fruit (as ripe dark cherries ) notes that literally have me drooling. There’s a LOT packed into this big beer.

The taste has a nice boozy note up front that is not distracting at all, and flows into the milk chocolate, caramel, vanilla, oak, and dark cherry flavors, with a nice warming alcohol note at the back of the palate. This is perfectly balanced and world class at the highest level, IMHO.

The mouthfeel is full, substantial, and coats the palate. This is everything a BA imperial stout should be, again IMHO.

Something new from New Holland, although that is no longer prominent on the label. I had read sometime back that they would be starting a "Dragon's
Milk" division, or some such thing. Not very familiar with "Irish Reds", I'd say good stuff.

Beer pours a clear reddish brown, big foamy, lingering khaki head with red highlights in the sun, leaves a well laced glass. Nose gets a bit of hops, caramel, toffee. Taste buds agree, some, malty sweetness in the finish. Barrel only noticeable in the finish. A bit thin, nicely carbonated. Might let a couple sit a few months, not bad.

Poured into a nonic at fridge temp

Pours golden orange with a fair 2 finger eggshell head. 4

Hops and almost sickly sweet tropical aroma. 3.5

Taste isn't bad for it's age, but not great as well. Hops, bitterness without any of the citrus, lime or berries as advertised on the can. 3.5

Body is lighter, resinous and pretty light carbo. 3.5

Overall I need to try this fresher to give it an accurate rating and review 3.5

No new beers tonight for me; rallying for old Rasputin over in the March Beer Madness thread. It was actually new to me not too long ago, it may be my favorite big dark beer on earth now, man is it good.

Ryan sent me that beer @ovaltine I too really enjoyed it when I drank it. It has a great great mouthfeel.

Clear, golden body; light carbonation presence; decent head, white, frothy, sticky. Big cracker-like grain scent; subtle herbal notes. The taste amplifies the wheat and cracker malt flavor; bread crust; grassy herbal tones; moderate level of hop bitterness; mineral tones. Medium-body; relatively smooth but with a subdued carbonation prickliness; warlessed soft residual sugar aspect.

Wayfinder done did well with this offering. A bold yet nuanced lager, bringing balance and depth to the drinking experience.

    Hello New Beer Weekend!!!

Late to the party yet again, but work came first. Now that I'm home, I am drinking, well, drank, a beer I'm surprised I haven't had before.
    Baltimore Blonde - Guinness - 5% ABV

If you're looking for an easy drinking beer packed with decent flavor, this is for you. I am happy I picked up a 12 pack of it - well less after giving away bottles of it.

Faint bit of smoke upon opening the bottle. Clear golden pouring beer. Tons of carbonation rising in the glass. The carbonation produces a 1 finger white head. The head looks quite fluffy to me with small bubbles in it. Decent retention. Not much lacing on the glass.
The nose has a very malty, grain, biscuit aroma. There's a slight grassy aroma to this beer.
There's a floral flavor to this beer that kicks in right away. There's a great deal of malt in this beer that gives me a grainy flavor with some biscuit. Decent hop bill provides a hint of citrus to this beer
Crisp clean body. Very bubbly feeling from the carbonation.
    Delicious and refreshing overall.

This went down stupid fast, so I will be back very shortly once I decide what's next.

    Glad you enjoyed it.
In case you're wondering about the label art, it's the wreck of the Peter Iredale on the Oregon coast near Clatsop Spit, not too far from Astoria, where the beer was brewed. Multiple times in my life I have been to that beach, most recently the summer of the eclipse a few years ago, when I camped at nearby Fort Stevens. As a child I may or may not have tried to climb onto it, and fortunately wasn't cut by the rusting metal!

Twenty Seven - Tree House Brewing - Charlton, MA - 8%

I had to add this one to the BA database, and I listed it as an American IPA based on the UT listing. I will be submitting a correction, because it's a NEIPA.

I am fairly burnt out on this style, but, when it's done right, I love it still. Tree House knows what they're doing. This is a delicious beer, and I'm so happy I got the chance to try it.

Poured from the can. The color is quite hazy, murky, and juicy looking. no light comes through when held up to the light. The head that this beer produces is 2 finger, white, and frothy looking. The head retention is decent, and there's a ton of lacing on the glass.
The aroma is quite dominated by the hops. It is juicy smelling. I get mango, grapefruit, and pineapple on the nose.
The flavor is very juicy, and has the flavors I mentioned in the aroma. There's a bit of mango up front that fades to the grapefruit and pineapple on the back. These latter flavors really linger on my taste buds and in my throat. Heck, I will be burping pineapple and grapefruit for a while.
The body feels quite full, soft feeling, and juicy.
I am fairly burnt out on this style, however, when it's done right, I love it. This is done right.

I think I've got at least one more in me tonight. Be back later for another.

16oz can served in a footed pilsner glass. LOT 2989/03/07.23, although I'm about 60% sure I can't read it correctly. Got it from @NorsemanOne in a trade.

Pours clear light gold with a fairly small head. Smell is muted, I get a hint of citrus and pine (but my olfactory sense is probably the muting factor at the moment).

Taste is light, crisp, citrus in nature with a little bit of a grainy note. Slow piney finish.

Mouthfeel is smooth, maybe a bit more still than I would really like. Overall, it's pretty good.

Americab Solera Kolache Czech-Style Plisner, 4.8% ABV; 4.14 overall

Pours a mostly bright gold with one finger eggshell colored head. Great head retention & lacing

S: Grassy, herbal & soapy, some grainy notes

T: Grassy, soapy, some lemons & breadyness up front. Limes, lemons, grassyness, flinty dryness & soapyness once this beer warms up. Dry grassy finish with soapyness, lemons & a little bready sweetness

MF: Medium body, smooth carbonation, good balance, perhaps a little more bitter than expected

Solid beer, If I was doing this blind, I would think German, not Czech Pils though

Equilibrium dHop48. Haven't had anything from them in a while, but I recall liking almost I tried - especially their IPAs. This one, not so much. It's super juicy, but it's kinda sweet for my tastes. Ah, well - I only bought a single. And the can's pretty to look at.

Evening all! Looks like I will be bookending NBW this weekend ... And staying within the Czech dark lager style for the next two. First up is Fair State Brewing Cooperative - Eleven Degrees. Fair State just recently started distribution in Chicago and as long as they send their lagers (looking at you Union Lager) I will be very happy.

Pours a dark coca cola brown color. Its essentially opaque thanks to how dark it is, but you can tell the clarity is excellent around the edges. Two to three finger khaki colored head forms on the beer, lingers a moment, then dissipates leaving just a thin residual layer of foam on the beer. Aroma has notes of rye bread, nutty malts, dark rustic bread and some light toasted character.

Taste follows the nose with notes of rye bread, dark rustic bread, some nutty malts and again, just a hint of toasted character to the malts. Spicy, moderately bitter grassy hops come through on the back end. There is a touch of cocoa to the beer, but it's very subtle. Feel is medium bodied, smooth, easy drinking. Moderate carbonation.

Overall, this is a stellar Czech dark lager and one that I hope stays available in the market because I will definitely pick it up again.
