That beer has been the bain of my existence the last few weeks. Holy hell! Several people asked for whole pallets of it (96 cases). We got 1 pallet of it. We also got a few 12 packs. We, at the end, got 50 cases on a whim (and we are nice to the reps at our store), because the local distributor had a few listed in stock. We weren't expecting them, but got them. We are all out and telling people no. We should be getting the lime in June. I have a feeling it will go down the same way as the Apple.

The reason why our local distributor got what they go is they had to blow out over 5000 cases of it the last time it came out because it got outdated.

I asked about that recently. They think it will open this summer. The first event will be the reception for the owner of Magnify, Eric's, wedding reception.

The array of responses to my questions are super interesting. Sounds like everyone has their own approach, whether it's sticking with what they know is great, always being pretty open minded about grabbing something new without looking at what others have said, or falling somewhere in the middle.

Elysian Juice Dust Juicy IPA, 8.2% ABV; 4.15 overall

Pours an effervescent & chill-hazed gold/honey color with a thumb of beige head. average-ish head retention & lacing

S: Plenty of citrus, hints of pineapple & mango once warmed up

T: Sweet oranges & tangerine, some dryness, some pomelo notes too up front. Dryness, orange peel, some sweetness as this beer warms up, a little guava & passionfruit as well. Finishes with sweet citrus, a little passionfruit & pomelo, pineapple & a little dry

MF: Medium body, low carbonation, nice balance

Delivers on what it promises, pretty drinkable for the ABV

Drink what you like and enjoy it is a theme for me. I do have to say "holy hell" for all the people wanting 96 cases of it. You will get burnt out of it 10 cases of it, max. We got more than expected, and I am glad it's gone, but I have to deal with the calls and in store questions.

Lime is the next flavor, not peach. Should be hitting stores in June.

Pomona Islands? Lived there for 5 years & never heard of them. Manchester, huh, a place I never visited. Was scratching by on E-5 pay. Not many adventures north minus a week in Scotland

Had this gem last night. Nice surprise.
Grow Haus by Barebottle Brewing in Lon Beach, CA.
On tap at Jaxon's / Barrel & Stave Pour House in Fullerton, CA.
Gorgeous, clear straw to gold in hue. Fluffy white head abounds, leaping up almost 3 fingers and settling down to a nice consistent 1 inch cap. Clumpy, soapy lacing. Solid retention.
Nose is firm. The more subtle notes that I'd attribute to one of the classic hops doesn't get to chime in first, but does pop in. Initially, it does hit the WC descriptor: slightly dry in its citrus notes with hints of pine.
Flavor is also confident following the nose. Grass, mildly peppery orange rind, some pine resin and hints of cracker malt.
Mouthfeel is spot on for style, light, moderate carb, and finishes bitter.
Overall, for a straight up German pils this would be over the top but for what they described, nailed it.

Also had this, but no photo.
Nelson and Associates also by Barebottle.
On tap at Jaxon's/ Barrel & Stave Pour House in Fullerton, CA.
Solid looking hazy. Beautiful body and fluffy had with layered lacing. Great retention.
Truth be told, Nelson is hit or miss for me. But here it is a hit. Brightly tropical with juniper, tangerine zest, and grass but definitely no cat piss.
Flavor is generically, yet pleasingly, tropical to start. Then the citrus chimes in with tangerine and some grapefruit. Then some juniper berry meets gooseberry shines.
Fluffy and smoothly bitter to close.
    Solid.

    Now for today.
First off, thanks to @russpowell for sending this one.
Blue Monday by Social Project in Arkansas.
Yellow to gold in color with a solid 2 finger head. Foam presents an almost milky texture before the bubble increase in size, settling to a solid inch. layers of clumpy lacing with good retention.
Nose and flavor start off with lots of tropical notes. Mango, papaya, orange zest, some herbal notes and even a hint of coconut.
Flavor spreads out more tropical offerings before me. Pineapple, mango, orange, papaya, grass, and the coconut almost hints at vanilla.
Finish is dry, slightly bitter, with gentle pillowy texture.

Brewers notes. ; Daily Serving was born out of our desire to express intense, saturated fruit character in beer form. After thoughtful experimentation with Permutation 6.47 and 6.51, we found that a base recipe similar to the German Berliner Weisse style, with its delicate yet fluffy mouthfeel and even-keeled acidity.

With an amplified the mouthfeel, fruit addition, and ABV to achieve our most expressive and luscious fruit beers to date. Brewed with an indulgent amount of raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, and cranberries, this edition pours a gorgeous ruby red. Massive jammy aromatics abound, offering mouthwatering notes of raspberry sorbet, blackberry preserves, and strawberry candies with bouncy acidity from the addition of cranberries.

Chilled can poured into a teku

Raspberry colored liquid with active carbonation, pencil thick pink foam , settles to a ring

Aroma is raspberry, hint of strawberry

Taste is a sweet tart raspberry sorbet,

Mouthfeel is tingly tart , slight creaminess

    Refreshing , delicious beer
