Are those dolmas you're enjoying with the beer?

    Quick little New Beer here:

I am not the biggest fan of hazies, and when I bought this one I neglected to notice that a) it is hazy, and b) it is a hazy double IPA. But I am a fan of Von Ebert, and I like what I've had from Green Cheek, and it turns out this beer is no exception.

Von Ebert Probably Something With Pally (collaboration with Green Cheek Beer Co, Orange, CA)

Pours a pale and opaque orange-yellow, topped with a plump cushion of foam that settles in for a long chat and leaves sheets of heavy lacing on the glass. The nose is mostly grapefruit juice, with a whiff of something tropical and some interesting woody notes I'm having trouble pinning down. The flavor, to my surprise, is much bolder than the nose (not something I'm used to in hazy IPAs). Grapefruit peel, tangerine juice, mango nectar, berry pie filling, red Swedish Fish, and scattered fragments of pine resin, fennel, and those elusive woody notes. Body is medium-heavy with a fluffy texture and fairly soft carbonation that still has a decent bite. It even has a somewhat pugnacious bitterness. This appears to be a hazy IPA which manages to reach hazy curmudgeons like myself. I'm impressed. Would definitely drink again.

Hi All, chiming in a bit late without a pic. But Oh Boy. This was a good one. Real fun!

Holy cow. Dank ditty dank dank. Yep, dankolicious!
Seriously, a plentiful pop of verdant, sticky weed notes. I mean seriously resiny and wet. Also some hints of stone fruit and grapefruit rind.
Flavor follows. So weedy and delish.
Mouthfeel is active, medium, with a dry bitter finish that is, yes, sticky icky.

Nice! Most of the Barreled Souls beers that I've tried are fairly light bodied, so this sounds similar. As a member, I almost grabbed one of these but ultimately passed as I can only bring so much back in my checked bag when I visit once a year.
