Sunday, time to watch the pros play football, although I will have to interrupt the football to take my grandsons to the movies. They want to see Black Phone 2. OK, let's do it.
Before the movie, I thought I'd have another one of my Big Beers. I'm drinking Extra Extra Broccoli from WildWerks.
A cloudy gold color. Two-finger head that reduces quickly. Some lace.
Fruity aroma, both citrus and tropical. I get orange and pineapple.
Taste follows the nose. Orange and pineapple. Some grapefruit and mango. Late bitterness.
Medium mouthfeel. Nice transition from sweet to bitter.

    Tōbetsu Blond from Godspeed Brewery

From a 355ml can packaged on July 16 2025. Poured into a pint glass. A two finger fine white head on a hazy dirty gold. The head diminishes to a ring.

Some spicy, fruity malts in the nose. The first sip is some fruity esters. Moderately sweet and fruity. A low hop bitterness.

Medium body and moderate carbonation. Well balanced and true to the style. Overall a decent but unremarkable Belgian Blonde.

Quantum Foam is a Triple IPA that pours an opaque yellow color with rising peaks of foam above the glass. Utilizing an ultra-pale malt bill, sweet and bright tropical notes burst from its pillowy body. Citra and Mosaic combine, creating aromas of orange popsicles, blueberry smoothies, and champagne mangos. An additional charge of Strata hops adds notes of strawberry bubblegum and passionfruit juice.

Hazy pale yellow with a long lasting one finger layer thick white shaving cream foam

Aroma is tropical fruit, bubblegum, orange, strawberry

Taste is smooth seeet tropical fruits, mango

Abv well hidden for a triple IPA

    Good beer

Good Sunday afternoon, New Beer Swiggers and commentators. Time to review a Halloween-themed beer: Seeing Things from Other Half Brewing Co. It is hopped with Citra, Motueka, and Cashmere, which is a tasty combo.

It pours a muddy tangerine color with more than a finger cap of fluffy, bright white foam and thick, clinging lacing. The smell includes lemon, lime, orange, and sweet cream. Its taste is big and fruity with a fine balance of tart lemon and lime and sweeter orange/tangerine, ripe cantaloupe, and just a hint of coconut from the Cashmere hops. Highly flavorful. The mouth feel is not quite as viscous as many Other Half DIPAs but it is super drinkable in spite of the 8.3% ABV. Overall, Seeing Things is a bit understated but it is a very enjoyable Double IPA. OH coaxes lots of flavor from the Citra, Motueka, and Cashmere hops.

Whoa, back-to-back. I know that I drank Brown Shugga back in the day but I cannot find a review. So here goes with the "Original Recipe:"

It pours a clear, ruby-amber color with a half finger of fluffy, ecru-colored foam and nice sheen of lacing. The smell is malty with notes of dark cherry, caramel, and just a whiff of brown sugar. The initial dark fruit sweetness and tart citrus are almost immediately countered by a strong, hoppy bitterness with lots of pine sap. It's actually a pretty dank, bitter brew - but tasty. The mouth feel is thick and viscous - almost syrupy, with low/moderate carbonation, and you can feel the 9.9% ABV. It is one of those big ales that drinks like being hit with a 2 x 4 - in a good way. Overall, while I wouldn't make a steady diet of Shugga', I'll enjoy this pack.

Solidly opaque, pastel yellow body; thin yet dense and persistent white head. Great aroma; citrus pith notes blending with oats and vanilla scents; fresh orange. Easy drinking taste; orange and grapefruit flavors predominate; bitter, woody herbs; oat-like sweetness; bitter phenols. Heavy body; acidic.

Overall, this beer is quite good for the style. It brings more balance to the palate than a lot of other New England India pale ales and is not quite so harsh and brash to experience. This quality, to me, adds a greater depth and complexity to the beer.

Dark brown pour, small, slow rising brown heads fades faster than it develops. Great aromas, vanilla and bourbon upfront, there's a hint of nuts and maybe berries. The great aromas don't always translate to great flavor. The added junk was too much, vanilla became overpowering. Nice thick, smooth, creamy mouthfeel. To sweet especially after it warmed, if you're a pastry stout fan, this might be for you.

I don’t drink a lot of lagers, but saw this at Horrocks and thought it should be tried.
The pour is very much like most AALs I’ve had but don’t think it’s got adjuncts.
It has nice biscuity flavors and almost floral hops, grassy is probably closer.
The feel is very good, had it drank in record time.
Good thirst quencher, just think it would have been better if it came out in June, but that’s just me.
    Cheers!

I liked the Chocolate Milk Imp Stout the most, but no duds in that mixed pack.
