OK, never had this classic American before, so sticking with light and easy for this selection. I definitely never had this during my craft days (2 days approaching 7 years), don’t believe I’ve ever had this.

    Bar Notes:
    $5 16 oz.

Appearance: Straw pale near water pour, persistent medium to heavy carbonation, nominal bright white head evaporates like a small puddle in the desert. 2.25

Aroma: Barely there malt, under a 1 on a 1 to 10 scale strength wise. 1.5

    Taste:
Yeah, no. Water, faint corn. Coming from a light lager, this is like a jump off of the rim of the Grand Canyon. Not offensive, but this is literally the lightest tasting AAL I’ve had, marginally above water. 1.5

    Mouthfeel:
Fizzy carbonation the strongest component. Thin body, lightly dry, abv doesn’t even register. Unsweetened ice tea has a much stronger finish. 1.75

    Overall:
There are many AALs packing stronger and far better flavor. Even though I paid a 1/3 of a 30 pack price for this draft pour, I think I got the better value as I forego the 29 others. Thankfully I have pretzels. 1.5

Just under 4 hours til Midnight, I’m not ending on this note.

Been so long, I will say I am agnostic on this beer.

    Bar Notes:
10 oz $7 draft, 4.5% Flanders oud bruin, poured into a stemless seven sided glass, Emelgem, Belgium.

Appearance: Dark Brown Purple opaque pour, nominal carbonation. 3.75

    Aroma:
Tart cherry, light vinegar, medium strength. 4.0

    Taste:
Consistent with aroma, nice easy drinking tart pour, cherry pleasant, light vinegar backing. Roasted malt, light cinnamon. Works well. 4.25

    Mouthfeel:
Light and easy, both body and strength. Tartness, vinegar and flavors blend well, just a very nice relaxing offering consistent with the style. 4.25

    Overall:
This is a solid Flanders Oud Bruin offering, consistent with the style, strong flavors meld well, very light and enjoyable. Sipping, loving, nice closure to the night. 4.5

Looking forward to catching up with thread when I get back!
