Where did you find White Birch in MN? I really enjoyed the two I tried at WTWBA last year.

Obviously everybody is entitled to their own opinion, that's one of the reasons we live in America/Minnesota/Beer Advocate-land. But...seriously? I was glancing through this post, and this one made my jaw hit the floor. I guess I've never heard anyone spew hate towards it, I thought CW BBBW was just kind of above the fray, so delicious and amazing and universally loved.

Now you're going to tell me there's no such thing as the Kriek Fairy...

I think they just hit in the last week or so. I saw some at Zipps and South Lyndale. Zipps had more quantity.

who is distributing white birch in MN? At that price I could really drink berliner weisses all the time.

Can't help but think of when I brought you a BBBW as an extra, then went home and looked at your profile page stating your strong dislike of the beer - haha... what irony!
You were real cool about it though:sunglasses: - thanks for having a good sense of humor.

Odd, I loved their Bourbon Barrel Barleywine but I had it on tap at a beer festival. It all goes back to we all have different pallets, which makes craft beer that much more exciting. Something I may hate the next person will love.

Not new but Zipps has Alaskan Stout and APA for 4$ a 6er. Didn't check the date on the APA but its a great price on a couple of solid beers.

Haymaker IPA is a great beer from Mankato Brewery.

I went to The Ale Jail looking for Hop Dish and they were out, but, recommended Haymaker. Definitely worth seeking out.

Liftbridge just put out a hoppy brown ale that's not too shabby. Can't remember what it's called as its some kind of local band, local brewery collaboration. Tuned I think is the name. I'll have to give Haymaker a shot, the Mankato IPA that was in their mix packs awhile back (not branded Haymaker to the best of my knowledge) was just okay. Stickum is my favourite from them.

May I suggest some of the newly canned Lucette beers.....Ride Again Pale Ale....thought it was better on tap but a nice sessionable pale ale....also they have Hips Don't Lie in cans which is a tasty hefeweizen brewed with honey and rose hips....higher abv...pretty solid body....both the chick on the can and the beer.

Girlfriend bought a mixed sixer that had the hips, Ride Again, and farmer's daughter. I thought Ride Again was a dead ringer for Daisy Cutter. Hips was a really nice hefe.
