Bad news for Yuengling. When NB came to Maryland a few years ago, I noticed a lot of places swapping out their Lager tap handles for Fat Tire.

It'll be interesting to see if that is the case in the land of Yuengling.

Get your hands on some Le Terroir if/when you see it. In my opinion it blows La Folie out of the water and is the best widely-distributed sour out there.

W&L Sales is the distributor in Harrisburg. I've never heard of this place. Do they sell beer to the public there ot just to other businesses? I know they sell to Wegmans and Giant, but there's finally a beer that I WANT to buy by the case and it doesn't look like I can.

Even if they didnt sell to the public, I do not think it means that you will not be able to get a case. They would sell wholesale to distributors.

As far as other points brought up, I think Yuengling will be fine and I cannot wait to finally get my hands on Le Terrior.

W&L is the wholesaler and they distribute it down to all the bars, retail shops, smaller distributors. Some of them will sell to the public as well (at least some here in Pittsburgh do).

Also, in Pittsburgh, NB will be handled by the same wholesaler that has Yuengling, so even if Fat Tire does eat into Yuengling sales, its still money in the bank for the Fuhrer family.

Lager will always rule here in the south/central PA locations. It's a local thing. Me personally would take Lager of Fat Tire too.........never cared for FT.

Not just limited to South and Central PA. It rules the entire state. I don't think Fat Tire will really do much to Yuengling sales.

Fat Tire and Yuengling Lager are really different tasting beers. I think PA'ins drink Lager as their hometown version of a BMC.

No one is giving up Yuengling for Fat Tire when you can get Yuengling for $2 or less for a pint.

I will be. Fat Tire will be my staple fridge beer to always have on hand rather than Yuengling
