Has anyone spotted this new release yet? Sounds like an interesting fruit beer. I don't know if it's in the market yet? Anyone seen it/tried it?

Will have to grab the Folly pack that its in w/ Citradelic, slow ride, mothership wit and only two Fat Tires.

Slowride is a staple for me and Citradelic is getting there.

    Enjoy

Is it only available in the variety pack? Their website said kegs and sixers

First I've heard of it, I'd give it a go, but haven't found too many melon beers that I would re-visit

It's in our current Folly Pack, which just started hitting shelves along with our Mothership Wit revival beer. Heavy Melon sixers and kegs are trickling into market, but the official launch date is April 25 (though beer always lands before then). If you want, you can set an alert via the Heavy Melon page, so you know when it lands in your area. Cheers!

I'm in Minnesota, and my local liquor store has heavy melon in 6 and 12 packs. It's light, refreshing, can't really taste the lime. Reminiscent of hell or high. Maybe toned down slightly. Overall, not a horrible beer.

Saw 6 packs in a local grocery today. Passed on it for now but might pick some up in a few weeks.

Saw it at a local grocery store today. I was way more interested until I saw it has lime. Now I'm a little hesistant. I'm sure it's still good.

I liked it. A light refreshing warm weather beer... I could crush these by and in the pool this year...

Surprisingly good - I expected it to be garbage along the lines of Watermelon Dorado, but it's not particularly sweet and the flavors aren't overbearing. Hints of watermelon and lime flavors that are well balanced and mild, plus a bit of a salty flavor almost reminiscent of a gose. Definitely a good poolside or picnic beer.

I have one in abeyance for this week's iteration of Watermelon Wednesday!

Saw this in stores today. Are people enjoying it? Probably pick up a single next time I can. Anyone know when season ends for this?

Its actually pretty good. I got a taste of watermelon up front that ended with the lime. Smooth, easy to drink, good summer beer.

I haven't had a chance to pick it up, just now seeing the folly pack that includes it. Waiting for the sixers....

Nice light beer, easy to drink and not offensive in any way. Flavors taste more "natural" than artificial. It's not particularly sweet or bitter.
