I heard that New Belgium will be available in CT. as soon as this summer. They are currently in negotiations with a distributor for the state. Although I am not a huge fan, I think Fat Tire Ale will dominate draft lines at most establishments.

Considering their new Asheville, NC brewery just opened, it's simply a matter of when, not if, New Belgium will not only be in CT but all of New England. The brewery was built specifically to support NB's vision to be a national brewery.

I think NB will definitely be popular in New England. As for Fat Tire taps everywhere - we'll see. Personally wouldn't mind being able to get some Ranger IPA or Blue Paddle Pils on the regular.

I know Fat Tire is VERY popular in the craft beer beginner/casual crowd. A lot of people will be excited to see it come to CT.

I happened to be in a package store a few months ago, and ran into the NE sales rep for New Belgium. He and some marketing guy were going to CT package stores just to get a feel of things while they were shopping for a distributor. He said that they will come to CT right after they go to NY.

If the price is right on Ranger, it could enter my rotation

Any sightings yet.... Saw tags for it at Crazy Bruce in WH but no beer. There was just a big empty space in the cooler

I think June 20 is the launch date.

Monday will be the first delivery day for New Belgium. Expect everything except Rampant to be around $10.99, give or take a dollar, with Rampant at a dollar more than the other 6pks. Supplies are supposed to be pretty solid, unlike Firestone Walker, but most stores will have sizable displays by Monday afternoon.

From the get-go, we're looking at Fat Tire, Ranger, Citradellic, Rampant, Heavy Melon (ew), and the two Glutiny beers. Fat Tire, Ranger, Citradellic, and Heavy Melon are also available in 12pks (both cans and bottles) for somewhere between $17.99 and $19.99. Some stores will probably ring the 12pk cans into 6pks, but for our assumed customer base, we're doing all bottles.

Limited releases aren't entirely out of the picture, but I wouldn't expect them for at least a few months.

Grabbed some Citradellic Ipa and Fat Tire at Kays Wines in East hartford if any body is looking in Hartford County. Citradellic is quite nice, enjoyed it... Have had fat tire before, its just a nice easy brew.

I was surprised to see the NB line up at Big Y just now.

Does anyone know of a liquor store in CT that has NB that's off of I-84 coming from MA? Closer to MA the better, but any suggestions are very much appreciated. I won't go to Total Wine in Manchester so that isn't any option at all. All they want to do is put the mom and pop shops out of business. I'd rather support local business owners and pay the extra $1.

Well, if you're willing to go to Manchester, I imagine Manchester Wine & Liquors would have plenty. That's a great store, but not terribly close to MA.

I'd imagine pretty much every store will have it. There was a huge push on stores to build displays and to heavily promote the brand.
