Did anybody else make it out to Churchkey in Washington DC last night for the La Folie deconstruction? I did and thought it was probably one of the best beer events I've ever attended. They featured La Folie and the three beers blended to create it. Lauren, the master blender, was great and taught me a lot. Don't miss her or her sours if they make their way to a bar near you!

Wow, that sounds like a really awesome event! I would love to go to a beer deconstruction sometime.

This is way cooler than your thread about aging Hopslam and Nugget Nectar.

Any of the bars you go to in LA do this? I have only been to Blue Palms 2x. Never really make it to LA/Hollywood for beers.

    Cheers!

It would be a good to have something like this. I never really hear of anything. Only one I knew of was the Far Bar DFH release with the Bruery.

    Cheers!

This event, like most Churchkey events, was awesome. Lauren was super willing to sit down and talk about the blending process and super informative.

Beachwood BBQ did a blending session with lambics to make a gueuze.

Don't know if you meant a 'deconstruction' event specifically, but Surly Goat @ Fairfax and Santa Monica
has events with 'brewery reps'/brewers. Sometimes there are rare pours. They have a lot of them coming up actually:
3/27 firestone 3/29 great divide 4/5 lips of faith 4/13 deschutes :grinning: 4/20 lagunitas :grinning:

Tap list is also on their website. If you haven't been to this place, its completely worth checking out.

I would LOVE for Firestone Walker to do this with FW15 -> would likely take all day!

I wonder how many other female craft brewers are out there. Seems like I've only heard of guys making it in the industry. Love hearing some evidence to the contrary! :sunglasses:

I wasn't able to attend, but didn't New Belgium do something like this during the recent SF Beer Week?

That sounds amazing. There is no price they could charge that would stop me from attending that.
