Quick question with your rule change. Can the winner of the division make their own box to ship to the last place in division? Or is it a random box that came from the others sort of thing?

The first place team of the division will send one container of beer to the person who came in last in the same division....any amount, style, flavors...but at least one container of beer.

And the teams who didn't win the division will all do the same to the team who came in first. So the winner will recieve 4 boxes of beer, and the last place team one box of beer. (The other 3 teams will recieve nothing, but they will ship to the first place team.) This will all be shipped during the playoffs; prob a 2 week deadline.

And then after the last game of the World Series, everyone except the winner of the World Series and the last place team of the league, will ship a minimum of one container each to those two teams (the winner of the WS and the last place team).

If anyone has any questions please do not hesitate to ask. I know it can be a little confusing. It makes sense in my head, and to me how I explain it. But still, if there are still any questions, or any confusion about it, please ask.

    Prost

I can't in good conscience ever root for the Padres to lose a game (even when free beer is available!), so after thorough research, contacting Bill James, praying to the baseball gods, and ordering a custom Hammond Blue Jays jersey from the MLB Shop, I am officially on team Toronto!

Didn't even notice this before. Its quite brilliant. Don't expect anymore nice words though. Your team is bad and you should feel bad

I got to "The Cubs fan in me still sees realistic room for improvement on this team, even without changing the roster" and I stopped reading. biased article. Also all the advanced metrics are fine but the eyeball test says the cubs shouldnt be any better than last year

Back to the thread's purpose, are the Twins or Marlins available?

Actually part of thread's purpose is to talk as much shit as possible LOL!!!! You'll see mooowaaahahahhahahaha.

Minn is available, the Marlins have been taken. I'm asuming you want the Minn then, so I put your name down. BM me the rest of your info, (name, address, cell and email).

On a betting note; Minn is tied with 3 other teams at 100/1 to win the WS. Only Houston is worse 200/1, and I have a hunch Houston is not going to be the worst team in the league this year- sorry Rob. The other 3 teams that are 100/1 are:
    the Mets - still avail
    Miami - taken
    and
    the Rockies - also taken.

Defending Champs Eye Repeat at 12/1
That San Francisco won it all considering what happened to Tim Lincecum and Melky Cabrera is a pretty cool story in itself. Lincecum had a horrible season, and the suspension of Cabrera seemed to doom what fragile offense the Giants had going in August.
San Francisco leads the next tier of teams on the MLB futures list with a 12/1 price, same as the Atlanta Braves who just pulled off a solid trade for Justin Upton, a deal that unites the Upton Brothers after they signed BJ in a free agent deal.
A most interesting trio follows the Giants and Braves. Coming in at 14/1 are the New York Yankees, Cincinnati Reds and Texas Rangers. Everyone seems to be counting the Yanks out, not to mention the Rangers who lost Hamilton to their division foes. The Reds, meanwhile, enter spring trying to convert Cuban fireballer Aroldis Chapman to the rotation.
And for those eyeing a similar payout as last year, the 2013 Philadelphia Phillies are worth a look-see. Charlie Manuel's crew reaches spring training at the same 18/1 odds as the Giants were last April.
