Yes, I agree.(I'm a lifelong Yankee fan btw)

Just plainly stating that he isn't going to have a stacked batting order this year(or at least the first month or two), like he did in the WBC. It's a lot easier to get a batter out when they don't have run support or anybody on base.

I can honestly see the yanks and bosox not making at least past the wild card game, but to say that both will come in last in the division is a bit rough. Sox should do better this year if their pitching stays healthy unlike last year. You have to give the east to Toronto, but seeing the O's repeating last year isn't a longshot, but pretty unlikely. You have to admit that their pitching won't be as effective as they won't be flying off the radar this year.

It's been great living 5 min away from Tropicana Field, as I'm at a majority of the games and the Rays are always the exciting surprise team as of late, so I don't think I'd be that far off saying the season will end with: Toronto, Rays, and the other 3 in a close 3rd/4th/5th. The only real surprise would be if Boston won the east, but that's about as likely as the cubs breaking the curse this year.

And I totally agree with your list of players. Going back to my original statement, I'd put Braun on the list if Fielder was still batting behind him. It'll se interesting to see how Hamilton does this year too.

You put a list together of only hitters you would want and I look at players as total packages. There is no one at their respected position better than Cańo is at second base. Also you can have Trout and Harper as much as love them they have one year under their belt so lets see what they do for a few years. You listed 3 centerfielders and I would take Kemp above them all.

Yea we aren't too far off on most of those, other than AL East, and the Angels winning the West.

Either way, I believe its safe to say that our Tigers and Twins have the Central locked up.

We'll see if Kemp can have a hot start like last year. But I agree, I'd rather have him out of any CF on the list, with maybe the exception of McCutchen. Gotta love how hard he plays.

And yes, it's still a bit too early to really be able to decide how Harper and Trout are going to play out years down the line.

We should make a wager within a wager. I'm pretty sure that half the teams you picked to finish first will not so care to partake in a side bet?

Only one week until opening day! Next Sun is the first game of the MLB season (Evan vs rtaps).

There are still 2 teams remaining; Oaktown and the Brewers. If anyone wants either of these two teams, lemme know before Sun.

And if you have any questions about the BIF, the rules, how to win/lose.....please do not hesitate to ask.

There is no need to hate the greatest sports team that ever was or will be my friend. But if it makes you feel better at the end of the day then hate away.

Knew this idea was too good to be true! We gotta listen to a bunch of Yankee fans jabber on like the Yankoffs aren't the best example of buying world series since Babe Ruth...god help my blood pressure! Go Tribe...I may own the Nationals but my hearts in Cleveland, don't get it confused!

I love that every wanker who's team is garbage and historically has been garbage always uses the "Yankees buying the World Series" line. Last time I checked baseball is a business and the Yankees spend money to win oh yeah they also make more money than your team and help pay for the lower half of baseballs shit teams. But again whatever makes you happy at the end of the day. You might want to go get that blood pressure checked out maybe do a little exercise.

Wow, do a little exercise? My city doesn't have to make laws to prevent me from killing myself with food! If you are into whoever has the most money gets he best sports team the ride your high horse (dildo saddle included) into the sunset. Bounce, bounce, bounce....that's the sound of the Yankees destroying a beloved sport! I'm sure it feels great to root for the team with more than Double the average Roster salary. It feels even better when the teams NOT on payroll steroids beats their ass!

Little history lesson for ya, in '88 and '89 the Yankees were below the leagues payroll average. Ended up 5th in the AL East both years, and you know what? The still were better than the damn Indians, so looks like no matter what they do I will always hate the shit out of um!

That is all, carry on you disgusting elitist sob! Oh, better hurry back to the tv, the Miami Heat are about to play. I'm sure you love then, right? That's the team that destroyed basketball! Well not for you, making all star teams seems to make sports more interesting to you. Maybe the local high school football team will beat up on the little league team for your personal enjoyment!

Ah, shit, we're did I put my beta blockers!

Ahhhh look everyone he is upset that LeBron left that shit hole that Ray calls home. There is a reason people can't wait to get the fuck out of that town. It's no wonder you have blood pressure issues. It sounds like you are one of those guys that thinks Le Bron owes you something. As if the seven or so years there and taking yet another garbage franchise to finals all by himself wasn't enough for you. He moves on and you want to cut his balls off. Well guess what no one wants to be in that dumpster fire of a city you call home. No I don't like the Heat I actually fucking hate basketball but from this day forward I hope every time the heat goes to Cleveland they fucking destroy your team so that you get all angry and throw a fit while sitting at the local dive bar and talk to bartender about what could have been.

Oh and last time I checked the Yankees are not destroying a beloved sport no no my friend they have saved it and written its history with the greatest players to ever play the game. But you unlike me prefer to watch less talented athletes try and compete because deep down inside you hope the little guy knocks off the giant making you feel so good about yourself. But then reality sets in and you realize you live in Cleveland and that life truly does suck.

    World Series Champions (2003-'12)
    Florida Marlins ('03)
    Boston Red Sox ('04, '07)
    Chicago White Sox ('05)
    St. Louis Cardinals ('06, '11)
    Philadelphia Phillies ('08)
    New York Yankees ('09)
    San Francisco Giants ('10, '12)

You can't buy World Series titles in modern-day baseball. There are good organizations and bad.
    Good: Yankees, etc.
Bad: Indians (and my Padres), etc.

    @Darth and Ray....

How bout you guys have this little tif of yours in a private BM. Im sure most people involved in this thread don't really wanna see you go on and on, especially given the vulgarity and anger that has ensued on both your parts. It's making me quite disgusted and offended.
