New Birreria in Chicago?

    Good or bad? Looks like it is overtaking an ESPN zone, so that is good. The bad for me it is has the looks of an overpriced microbrewery chain.

    That got me thinking: how about someone does a birriera + birreria?

    edit: by the way, I think Batali's birreria positions itself well upscale of 'microbrewery chains', but its focus is more on quality food and beer served in a comfortable setting, rather than on exploring the frontiers of beer.

    NYC has at least one location of Eataly. i only assume the chicago version is a carbon copy. what do the reviews say about their beer in NYC?

    Most of the reviews agree that it is not worth $10 a "pint". I assume the pricing will be the same here. However, based on the NY location expect they will have a beer engine to serve cask and should keep a good selection.

    I wonder about the Dogfish Head connection though and if it means we will get their non-distributed offerings at this place.
