Sounds like quite a niche place. Distilled Aventinus? Whoa. Think I might try and swing by here on Friday. Ill report back if I can make it there. Thanks for the headsup.

just a note, posted hours are as follows when I went by if anyone is thinking of stopping by in the afternoon.

Monday - not open till 4 PM
Tues -Thurs - not open till 2 PM
    Friday - open at Noon
Sat Sun hours - I forget

The place is new and fairly good sized just looking in, but since it's new it also looks right now quite barren and not fully filled. I'll try to stop by and take a look some other time.

Was there yesterday. Lots of 6 packs for sale, but no singles yet. Prices were very reasonable. They are still stocking up the place. Once they have the "singles" license, the will have over 1000 bottles to pick from in a single format. They are expecting this around mid to late August. When 100% up and running, this place will blow away every beer store in DC--just guessing.

I stopped in today and spoke with the guys in there. It looks promising indeed. He echoed the singles license and said they plan to stock a good portion of the upstairs with craft beer. I asked if it was going to be equal wine/beer/spirits and he said weighted towards craft beer. The prices are just about spot on with the average (Founders 4/6 packs for $9.99 for example). A few prices alittle higher, some lower. I would say give them till the end of August to make allowance for the odd DC beer rules to be complied with. I will check back and give a proper BA review once they are up full scale.
