I do not know why, but this is annoying me a little too much. I cannot tell if NBBC does not realize that sours are spelled sour and not saur, or if it is them just playing with the word.

    See here:

I did a little googling of "saur beer" and came up with nothing but their website.

I too irrationally hate that they spell it like that. And that FB post (or whatever the first reply here was from) they seem to think it is a proper noun.

You are right. We should go back to not talking about local breweries/beers.

At least it's spelled right :stuck_out_tongue:

I had a better response but I couldn't figure out how to post it from my phone and I'm lazy

I tried to drink their Berliner but it was a drain pour. Regardless of how they name their beers, after my experience and ratings, I'll probably never drink their beer again.

Could it be related to the name of the city/town, New Braunfels? Perhaps it's pronounced "Brown-fells" or "Brown-fulls" so they decided to adopt the "au" from there. As you can see, I'm really stretching with this one here and giving the brewery a lot of benefit of the doubt.

That should be Jesus with a capital "J" and you should have added some sort of punctuation at the end.

So it seems that their German spelling is right on par with their German brewing. Sad.

I don't think Kollaboration is a word used in the German vocabulary. But I'm a bit rusty.

If you pronounce it like "sores" rather than "sours" it might make more sense.

I can only read that as (dino)saurs, so it comes off like a bulletin at a science museum.

Our Saur series as of right now includes mild Saurs for the novice [like Stegosaurus and Triceratops] and more adventurous Saurs for the experienced [like Jaxartosaurus and Dilophosaurus].
