Nothing you said deters me slightly. $6 or $7 for Pecan Porter is not bad. I wouldn't order a mojito or a margarita from a beer bar.

$7 for how much? At the place closest to my house, they have it @ $4.50 for 16oz or $6 for 23oz, and on Tuesdays they take $1 off Texas beers. If its $7 for 16 oz, then yes, that seems high.

Yeah. At cedar Creek it's $2 for 16 oz on Tuesdays. And yeah $7 seems high. I think I pay $6 for a half growler fill at petrol

Also you guys complaining on price should go to Alice's Tall Texan. $2 for a large goblet lol

Yeah, its not a beer bar. They have taps, but in no way shape or form is it a beer bar. They serve every beer in pint glasses and for smaller pours, they just pour it into a pint glass but dont fill it all the way up. They also dont have a beer there that they have at practically any dive bar in town. $7 for 12 oz IIRC. And yes, I dont think ive seen it that high ANYWHERE in Houston over the past year, specially for 12 ounces. But for Independence Convict Hill, they wanted $9 per bottle. No BS.

But go ahead and take a chance if you want. Just dont say I didnt warn you.

A new beer and growler store I have been looking forward to opening in Heights is Premium Draught. I have mentioned it before, but wanted to again here.

Even at the mediocre westside alehouse, which i would have expected it to cost more, its only 4.50 for a pint of pp, 6 for a 23oz, 15 for a pitcher, and 21 for a tube....hey wait a minnit, you talking about the WSAH mello?!?! I thought youd not been back!

Just bustin on you mello, we need to meet up there some night and have a few adelberts for 6 bucks.

Why thats exactly where I meant - as I said, closest place to my house. I havent been in a while, though. We were going every Tuesday for trivia for a while, but I have so much beer in my house right now, I can't justify going out and spending $ at bars. Tough problem, right? :astonished: We'll definitely have to meet up there sometime

I've been following them on the twitter, and am very excited, even though I don't live in the heights.

World of Beer is building at La Centera in Katy. Don't know much about them.

The Brewery Incubator mentioned above is live on Kickstarter at http://kickstarter.breweryincubator.com. This will actually be the first co-working and incubator brewery in the world.
The facility mentioned above in San Antonio, Bake Broil & Brew is not actually licensed to sell beer. The founder of the Brewery Incubator actually worked with them to help create the concept modeled after the Kitchen Incubator in Houston, a leading national food business incubator pioneer.
Definitely check it out on Kickstarter and at http://breweryincubator.com to sign up for the mailing list because beer is being given away right now at some awesome events!
The facility is fully built out and the Kickstarter is currently funding a new larger brew system. Projected opening date is early March but there are plenty of tastings, dinners and parties in February.

I saw that they are building an Alamo Draft house in vintage park. The banner says 2013
