So, I stopped at the newest "nano-brewery" in the Akron area last night.....called Aqueduct Brewing; they just opened officially Monday evening after getting their final approvals, etc

It is cool that this small 2 bbl brewery is right around the corner from Thirsty Dog - in the old Burkhardt Brewery complex on Grant St in Akron, close to Akron U.....you can stroll from one tasting area to the other, and sample a multitude of locally made beers!

We also have another one, called RShea Brewing, in the works as well, on Merriman Rd in the Valley, in the same complex as the Trailhead Brewing Co....think they hope to open sometime early in 2015

So, with Thirsty Dog, Hoppin Frog, Ohio Brewing (though their stuff is being contracted out to Rust Belt in Youngstown at the moment), TrailHead, Madcap, Aqueduct, and soon R. Shea Brewing, the Akron craft scene is looking pretty decent these days! Also, a new one coming on line in Canton area as well....

As an Akron native, and long time craft beer lover, this is great news for us.....
