Just wanted to let people who travel through or to Fayetteville know that there are new breweries that have opened and seem to be doing well here in town these days. West Mountain Brewery at Tims Pizza on the town square has been up and running for awhile and features some solid beer. Core Brewing (they make a great ESB) has overtaken the brewing at Hog Haus and has done a good job in boosting the quality and consistency of the beers there (which was sorely needed IMO). Tanglewood Brewery on the south side of town has a great pub feel and puts out a lot of unique beers, as well as a decent selection of beers on tap not readily found in other establishments, and has some tasty food specials. Fossil Cove just off of Poplar on Birch Ave. has opened a nice tasting room. The owner of this establishment is most usually always there and is more than happy to talk to his patrons about his and most any craft beers, as well as give people tours of his brewing setup. The Blonde, the PaleoAle, the Brown Ale, and the IPA are all very well done. They seem to be brewed with an emphasis on being sessionable beers, although the Trippel is 9%. Fossil Cove has also established taps around town at Mellow Mushroom, Grubs, Brewskys, and Hammontrees.
