New breweries in summit county

    I heard a rumor that there is going to be a new brewery in silverthorne and one in breckenridge. Anyone else hear this?

    Yep, Cory Forester from Dillon Dam is opening the one in Silverthorne, and Broken Compass is opening in Breckenridge on Airport Road close to the Breckenridge Distillery. Both should have quality beer. I think Cory is still has a while to go while the Broken Compass boys should be brewing very soon.

    Any word on opening? I have a trip planned there for Memorial Day weekend. Would be awesome if a new brewery was open.

    Based on what I know, I would say that they (Broken Compass) should be pouring beer by then, but things have a way of getting sideways when you're opening a brewery.

    I think they are doing a soft opening next Monday. I'm sure they'd be happy to sample you if you swung by. Maybe give them a ring to see if I'm correct.

    anyone heard anything on broken compass? We are heading to Silverthorne today for the weekend and wanted to check them out...I sent them a message on FB because I wasn't sure if they would be answering phones yet...
