So one of the MD distributors (Bond) announced on Twitter today that "a big announcement, years in the making, is coming up tomorrow (Friday). Anyone want to speculate? I'd hate to throw the F word around, but could a certain Michigan brewing co finally be coming? I mean what else has been years in the making? Not going to get my hopes up, but I would encourage everyone in MD interested to follow @MaltybyNature on Twitter and keep tabs tomorrow! Cheers, Scott
I will throw this nugget in this thread. A few weeks ago I also heard about said brewery coming to Delaware. I haven't lived here long but have gone through some of the old threads in this forum about the F word coming to MD or DE. I was excited, but skeptical. I was told the chances are very good by someone in the beer business. To the point they are working on getting distribution set up and even taking samples to accounts. For DE it may happen late this spring. I can't confirm anything at all. I just got some descent information that it is looking promising. However it sounds like this isn't the first time this has happened with F.
"Proud to announce, after years of discussions, the newest member of the Craft Team @BondDistCo welcome the@TravelingPint#WordisBond" ..so no Founders again? good
Yeah so as the above poster mentioned, there was a lot of buildup for absolutely nothing....he was merely announcing a new member of their distributor team. This is the second time he has built up an announcement that turned out to be a bunch of BS, so I'm not going to bother to pay attention to his tweets from now on. Apologies to everyone for even starting this thread...I hate to be among the many that have given false hope regarding potential breweries coming into MD... Cheers, Scott
But there is a new brewery coming to Salisbury MD-Rubber Soul Brewing set to hopefully open mid April. Brewer served time at both Appalachian and DFH. While I keep saying there is way too many to sustain in this small area I surely welcome it. I could be wrong-I was about Lady Gaga and Twitter...
Boulder county in CO has over sixty including brew pubs and that's a pretty small area. It seems to work if the demand and quality is there.
