Not a bad location by NH standards, 5 mins from downtown Exeter and right off 101. Hopefully the beer's good.

I hope they brew more than just German-style ales. Not a huge amount of reviews on his Baderbrau lagers from Chicago but looks like they're decent.

Unless the beers are out of this world, I'd probably just drive 10 more minutes down the road to Blue Lobster.

As much as I love the beer being brewed at Blue Lobster and elsewhere in the state, I'm pretty excited about a brewery focusing on German-style beers in southern New Hampshire. Schilling sounds like they're brewing some amazing German-style beers up in Littleton, and Prodigal and Jack's Abby are making some excellent lagers to the north and south, but there's not much in the way of breweries regularly turning out German-style beers in the Merrimack Valley or Seacoast. Sounds like a solid addition to the local breweries. And there should be no shortage of new breweries specializing in a range of styles in the area opening in 2014: Able Ebenezer in Merrimack, Kelsen in Derry, Stoneface in Newington, Out.Haus in Northwood and possibly others all have equipment and licenses in place, so we should be seeing beer from them in the new year.

Will be interested to bring my son by when they open and see what he thinks. He lived in Germany for 5 years, two hrs north of Munich, near Nuremburg. He did a lot of sampling of beer all over Germany.

I find I like the Bavarian Festival Lager the best (made it to Munich for Octoberfest last September) and Cologne beer (Kolsch, visited Cologne in 2000) the best.
