New brews in NJ (2019)

I just saw some in Bottle King Chataham. Dated mid Feb.

 

Anyone have anything from 18th? Have seen a few of their cans at my local but have been passing. There are so many new options rolling into the state it’s great. Would love to hear thoughts on 18th Street.

 

Great news on modern times. Wonder what other new breweries can reasonably expect? Maybe Grimm, Lawson’s, jacks abby, toppling Goliath?

 

Well sarene distributes some in nj but not all so they have a few brands just in ny I think will make it here eventually

 

Followup sarene distributes lawson, toppling goliath , night shift and kcbc. I would think they are good candidates to get here in near future

 

Definitely excited about Modern Times entering the state. Their core lineup is solid across the board. I’ve been hearing rumors about Jack’s Abby for a while now but nothing official yet. I’d love to be able to get their stuff in NJ.

I’ve had a few of their beers. All pale ales:

Psychotic Skipper
Chasing Paper
Under Crown

I rated them 3.25, 3.75, 3.75, respectively on Untappd. Unfortunately, I didn’t fully review any of them. A couple were good IPA’s but nothing I’d buy again. I know people who like them a lot and they’re well regarded locally.

Also haven’t seen them here so I don’t know the pricing.

No, but looks good. Love Allagash.

 

Snaggd some of the Modern Times Black House coffee stout. That beer is great, one of the best coffee stouts I've had.

 

Just saw on twitter that toppling Goliath is coming to NJ starting this week via Sarene. What a time!

 

Been waiting for this, not there isn't enough great local options but I love or remember loving pseudo sue and king sue when I had a few years back.

Side note: this is the thread NJ was missing. Just good beer that is accessible in stores, a place to share good beers we come across. Thanks to whoever started this one.

 

Did Modern times just hit NJ this week? If yes why was the IPA (sorry forgot the name ) I saw yesterday on the shelf dated 01/20/19..60 days old already..uggh.

 

I saw one that had February but what you saw often happens with new brands hitting the state unfortunately.
