Twins on the way. I might have to send you a Bruery beer myself, just to give you one night off after those twins dominate your time.

ahh must be nice to have a buddy in Colorado for Crooked Stave. I wish I had a friend in Colorado so I can do the same Bruery RS beers for Crooked Stave RS beers.

Looking to score a few Mash (3-4), my Reserve friend tried to get a few and got kicked off the site before he could check out. I'm in GA, open to plenty of trades.

I'm also a Reserve Society member who has a friend who is a Crooked Stave member so we end up sending boxes back to each other. I'm hoping to be a Hoarders Member next year, but would prob. have to end up splitting that with someone. I've already ordered 92 bottles not including what comes with the initial subscription, and pretty much maxed out all my allocations either to drink now, cellar, give to friends, or trade. And i don't buy anything that is released to the public that i can find locally on the shelves here in NJ, which is quite a lot actually.

I should have plenty of everything if anyone is looking for any of the randoms (mash, beauregard, melange #3).

Don't know what you have to do to be invited to hoarders society, but if about 175 bottles during the year (which i will prob be close to), doesn't qualify then i'm not sure what will. And yes i def thing the Hoarders Society is well worth the extra $. Just look at what Black tuesday, Chocolate Rain, and some of the other heavy hitters go for, and you get a good amount of all of those guaranteed, plus opportunity to up order, and a bigger discount, which would probably eat about $100-$300 off the cost right off the top.

    I am gonna need it!!

Been trying to cut back on the beer spending anyways, so maybe in a couple of years I'll invest in the RS and get a chance to enjoy some BT.

Sorry, this is the only info I have. Maybe other BA's can help provide other info.
Yes, does look like a Preservation Society brew so not sure if it'll hit distro.

Our team will be tapping our brand new horchata-inspired ale, Or Xata, on Wednesday at Cinco in Westchester, CA. This unique blonde ale is brewed with rice, cinnamon, and vanilla bean and she is quickly proving to be one of our favorite brews. Ben, Cambria, Carl and Sara be at Cinco to celebrate it's first pouring outside of our walls and to answer any Bruery questions you may have.

Cigar City did a horachta ale. It was quite good. Interested to see the Bruery's take on it, minus the price tag:grinning:

Just had a taste of all the allocations on draft at the Bruery:

All of them were fantastic especially the addition of Kumquats to SITR - already a killer beer.
The blueberry was nice and tempered as far as Bruery sours go and very delicious.
Mash and grind were unique in the own right and were very pleasant versions of the english barleywine style. The addition of coffee to grind made it taste like the new breakfast drink of champions. I find Bruery barleywines are so infrequently produced as well as underrated. Loved the old richland last year (Much hoppier american version)

This will keep you from making the Hoarder cut.

Last year one of the guys I trustee for made Hoarders yet I didn't. Being his trustee I knew what he bought so I knew that I spent more, the difference was that while he bought all his beers online I only bought beers online that I couldn't grab at Provisions/Brewery later. Even though I used my card they never linked that activity to my RS account

I made HS and have not once got a full allocation and don't buy the beers I see on the shelves. I think it also has to do with years in the RS and some blind luck. Really, no one outside of The Bruery knows how members were chosen.

    We're both 2011 RSers

You're probably right, which would make figuring out how to get in this year hard so those trying to "buy" their way in by overloading on Bruery beer might be let down.

Here's hoping the BWXII rebrew lives up to the original.

As for memberships/allocations, I split with someone local and we still don't buy max allocations, even skipping some beers outright. I can totally see splitting a Hoarders membership with 5-6 people, and that may be in my future if we are invited at the end of the year, as there's been a few HS only beers I've really wanted to try.

Any chance his Last name (Alphabetically) fell before yours?
Also i agree that your card was never linked so your friend might have actually bought more than you (based on the system)

Ohh man i really hope it does!
Yea i split the RS with one person and we usually "give" away our other allocations. People just Paypal me and i order for them.

Its a fine line to walk with how many to do Hoarders with. The reason is the exclusives...if you want them then you don't want to add too many people but you want to add enough to offset your cost. Based on what i've seen i would do it with 4 people.
