hate the new maduro can

 

I thought the old Maduro can had a really cool look to it.

 

Heard this from a random visitor so take it as a possibly bullshit story. I heard some Mexican officials did not like the old Maduro can design and kindly asked for it to be changed

 

I believe it had something to do with the Mexican seal being on the can.

 

Those are great designs and all, but gunhaver, when are ya'll going to send a some beer to the Panhandle? Shelf's been empty for almost 2 months! We're thirsty up here!

You're both kinda right. A couple months ago an activist group on Facebook started complaining on CCB's page about the mexican seal and I guess CCB caved to the pressure. It's stupid though, maduro is a type of cigar wrapper so CCB put the Mexican, Honduran, and Nicaraguan seals on the can as a tribute to the cigar industry because that's a majority of where the tobacco leaves for cigars come from

 

How was I "kind of right ?"

I said it was because of the Mexican Seal being on the can, and thats what it was.

You didn't hurt my feelings, but you did hurt your credibility. Whether you "expand" or not, it doesn't make what I said "kind of right." The issue was the seal...nobody cares about your long drawn explanation about why YOU think it should be ok. If you felt the need to expand by stating your feelings on why it's dumb, that's cool; but just because I simply stated the reason and left my opinion out of it does not make me wrong and you right. The fact of the matter is, they changed the can because it had the Mexican Seal on it, which ruffled some feathers - exactly what I said.

 

I've got credibility? Sweet, that's news to me.
