I sure hope it's good.

 

Brewery only release, limited, but not scarce. Neither a stout nor a strong ale. I don't want to spoil the surprise of what it is, I can say it hasn't been available in at least a year and a half.

 

Papaw's Red? Hell yes, I eagerly await a bottle release for that one as well. But that's not it.

 

OK, now it's official. The Black Friday 750ml release is Double Barrel Shotgun Wedding.

 

I will be there at some point. Doors open at noon. Which means I have the morning to run around town looking for BCBS

 

Brewery post is saying 2 per person, $12.99 each.

 

The brewery is open on Sunday. I'd call ahead of time if you're traveling any distance. Their responses to FB/Twitter are sporadic, though I'm sure if it sells out, they'll post that, too.

 

For an early review of this, check Lexbeerscene.com, the guy who writes the beer blog is posting his review shortly.

 

To my knowledge, it didn't sell out yet, but there was a LARGE portion sold this afternoon at the release. The line ran solid for almost 2 hours.

 

It did sell out by the end of Black Friday, but there were fewer than half that number of bottles. Once the line died off, you could get back in line to buy more. My trading partners are quite pleased about that.

 

A lot of people, including regulars, who didn't show up on release day ended up with none. Rumor has it that barreled releases in the near future will have approx. the same number of bottles, but might not sell out as quickly since there's not another major Black Friday event preceding it.
