I got an email yesterday advertising "FREE BEER and FREE FOOD" if you call between 2-4 and make a reservation at the new place on jefferson boulevard in Rhode Island. So naturally I called a million times to get in on that deal, I figured it would be like a free beer and free app but since it was their pre/soft opening event it was free everything, app entree drinks etc.

for those of you that have been to Doherty's East ave its pretty much similar in terms of food and drinks, they probably have around 60 taps but I didnt quite count, the food was really good and the servers were all very nice although you could tell some of the bartenders havent worked in craft beer/with that many taps before so it took a few seconds for them to figure out what was what.

The Atmosphere of the place however is much different than the regular dohertys, its all very clean and more restaraunt like but not stuffy or anything just not what I was expecting, I really like the new layout. The coolest thing was the keg room is in the middle of the bar and you can see in to where all the kegs are and the lines and it looks really neat. Check it out if you can, it will definitely be a nice place to be down in warwick!

Awesome. I am rarely in Warwick, but more craft beer available is never a bad thing. Where in Warwick is it?

I hope that they try to do a better job with what they have on tap versus their other location. Most of the stuff is mediocre. If you're gonna drink in Warwick it should be at Track 84. Seems the only reason to go would be the food.

Mayflower Porter on tap and kid friendly...might be worth the 10 mile drive ?
They posted pics on Facebook...I saw tap handles for Victory Summer Love, Ipswich Oatmeal Stout, SN Estate, Founders All-Day, Pretty Things, Harpoon Barrel Series, etc. etc. etc. and a beer engine.

I'm betting nothing really of note though. No tap list to be found anywhere.

Definitely not a place one would go to hunt whales...

Being Married with Children, a local place where I can bring the family and have a fresh pint of Anchor Steam, Jack D'Or, and/or Finest Kind IPA has its merits !

i mean with 124 taps i never expect them all to be fantastic or super hard to find, i had an ithaca flower power, mayflower porter, goose island sophie, lagunitas undercover investigation, all of which i was happy to get.

I hope the food is better than the original Doherty's. My wife won't go their cause she says the food is nasty. :slight_frown:

What is it with Doherty's need to offer pumpkin beer year round? Never seen another bar do that.

Pretty much exactly the same lineup as Doherty's...just...more. They need to amp up their game with all those damn taps!
