"Hours for the UBG will expand to 7-days/week but we will not be open later. We will remain a funky, beer-focused low-key community hang."

I sure hope this is true. I love the current space and hope the feel stays the same in the new space. I do love the fact that they will expand to 7-day/week.

11 of their own taps (not including the nitro and cask) are pretty impressive as well. Can't wait for their canned seasonals as well.

As long as they retain some indoor seating to go along with the outdoor area, I'm excited.

I'm pretty sure that I saw cans of Universale and Interurban at the brewery yesterday. Did not buy any as I'm not sold on the cans thing yet. I'm fine with growlers and bottles. Of course, I'll buy cans from breweries that do bottles only like Oskar Blues and Fort George.

I'll bite: What's your reluctance on the cans? BPA stuff? Bauxite mining?

Anyhow, they were out of cans when I was there on the 4th, but I believe they had their Summer Ale in cans a week or two back.

There is no good reason why I can't get behind cans. I and my friends tend to drink at home where access to recycling bins is easy and we just toss our empty bottles in the recycling.

The move seems to be gimmicky maybe to me and I don't see the benefit. Plus, I never leave any of my beer in the sun and neither does the places that I purchase from. I might change my tune when the family starts camping again this season.

As an avid camper/backpacker/etc, the moves to cans is beyond exciting. not to mention the current pricepoint at 6$/6 pack.

Forget the sun-exposure thing, the access to 12oz WA-based brews is basically nonexistent. THANKS FREMONT
