Not sure if this or a similar thread ever got started for this year. Apologies if it did.
Anyway came across news of another brewery planned for Portland:
    Hi-Fidelity Beer in East Bayside

PD Wappler and Dante Maderal have leased Unit 6 at 200 Anderson Street where they will open Portland’s newest brewery, Hi-Fidelity Beer (website, facebook, instagram). Maderal and Wappler are planning to launch with a 3 barrel system and intend on focusing on low ABV beers. They plan to serve their own house beers as well as a variety of liquid refreshment with non-alcoholic options such as coffee, tea, and house-flavored seltzer.

The tagline for Hi-Fidelity is “our beer, your space”. They envision operating a tasting room that melds a traditional brewery tasting room and a public space that will appeal to the members of the Portland arts community.

Maderal was formerly a brewer at Atlantic Brewing in Bar Harbor, and Wappler is a musician. They hope to open Hi-Fidelity Beer by the end of this summer.

Looks like the property needs significant work. Also a focus on low ABV beers. Might be something of an unfulfilled notch for the area.

I will preface this by saying I’ve tried a bunch of NA beers and there have been NA beers that are tasty and all that. An IPA I tried was good, but honestly? I don’t get it.

If I’m not drinking, I just drink water. Maybe a seltzer. I don’t need or want something that tastes like beer.

Same here. If I'm not drinking I usually have water or the occasional ice tea. Even when I'm the DD I'll just get a water.

Just saw this in Worcester Magazine. I wasn't familiar with the location (don't really know Worcester) but the space has some recent history housing brewers. This new one, Double Down, is being started by a former president of Wachusett Brewing and a co-founder of Wormtown. Head brewer is formerly from Left Hand. Looks like they're planning to sell direct to consumer and will not distribute.

I didn't realize that Flying Dreams left the space at Peppercorns. I was the sales guy at Flying Dreams for a little bit, I left right before the second location in Marlborough opened, and there wasn't a lot of room to brew in Marlborough (even compared to the teeny space we had in Worcester), so I'm wondering if they're contract brewing somewhere now or if they built out Marlborough a bit.

Will be interesting to see how they transform this spot into a brewery from what can only be described as the location where the body is found in an episode of the First 48.
