New brewery opening in Rozzie Square (not Trillium taproom rumored at the substation).

Is Henry and Fran open now? Maybe a soft opening? I've seen some growlers posted on untappd.

The owners of Sweetwater Distillery in Winchester NH are planning a brewery for next summer. I have high hopes.

Buttonwoods Brewery in Cranston opened this evening. Big fan of their offerings right away. Two NEIPAs, 2 saisons (one self-described emulation of Dupont and another more heavily hopped), a Berliner weisse and a brett beer.

Creating a nice I-95 brewery crawl between consecutive cities from Long Live in Providence and now Proclamation in Warwick.

Seven Saws in Holden (outside Worcester) having a tap takeover (their first official release?) this Friday.

That would be great. Had some samples at beer fest back in June & they were great. I emailed them maybe 2 months ago & there was no real update on beer to go or taproom.

Didn't see it mentioned, but Drunken Rabbit in South Hadley MA and Altruist in Sturbridge MA both opened recently. Greater Good in Worcester is supposed to open next month or so. Just south of the Mass. state line, in Danielson, CT, Bear Hands Brewing is expected to open sometime this year.

    Update:

Long blue cat is good. Nothing to blow you away but the beers are all, most importantly, clean and all at least good. More than I can say for a couple new spots that opened up in the plastic couple years. Not a destination spot as of right now sadly but not a bad addition to the town.

Had no idea about Long Blue Cat. Will check it out, along with Backyard Brewery, in a few weeks. Thanks for the heads up.

Both have food. I would pick at both if you want to have it all but if you have to choose backyard hands down.

Maybe someday they will truly open, but the web site was published in 2015 and there was just an article in the local paper about them:

    http://www.cruebrewbrewery.com/home.html

In Raynham, MA. Yeah - that misquoted Ben Franklin thing...

They have their permits and apparently are in the design phase for the brewery. Unclear what the tap room will be like, and even though Raynham is two towns over from me I have no idea what the local laws are like.

I heard a rumor through someone connected with the city that there was another brewery "or two" planning on opening in Malden. Has anyone heard any rumblings?

I think we need to organize a guns and beers night there, given that there is a shooting range next door.

Was shared a tweet (can't figure how to link to it) that Dan Koppen, retired Patriots offensive lineman, is working on a new brewery in East Greenwich RI called LineSider Brewing Co.

The photo has Dan building a knee wall outside and not installing tanks, so it looks like a ways off.

Visited Backyard tonight on your props - nice place to hang out, my entire party enjoyed their food, obvious it’s a focus there.

The haze IPA was pretty good & so was the oatmeal DIPA. Dug the black IPL too. Everyone I was with enjoyed their beer too.

Place was pretty busy for a Tuesday night so seems like it’s a success story. Only criticisms are no Happy Hour deals & the crowlers are way too expensive.

Agreed on the crowlers. The growlers are also far too pricey. They have started canning recently and the 4pks are much more reasonable when available. Ive only lived in NH for a handful of months now so coming from MA the lack of a happy hour doesn't even register in my brain yet.

Two new breweries plan to open up in Weymouth

"Article Fifteen Brewing Company plans to open a 2,400-square-foot microbrewery in the space previously used by Brewster Ambulance at 835 Washington St. early this summer..."

"Mayor Robert Hedlund said this week that another brewery is in the process of working out a lease. While he couldn’t disclose any information about the brewery or where in town it hopes to open, Hedlund said it would be a “major operation” with a large taproom..."
