 "Favorite Beer" ? Don't think I've really had one since the 1980s, when Falstaff kept messin' around with Ballantine Ale, "tweaking" the recipe, closing the Narrangansett brewery and allowing availability and distribution of the beer in refillable bottles sold by the case to shrink.

There are many beers and breweries I've liked afterwards, but when the beers change or become unavailable or if the breweries are sold, go in a different direction or just do something stupid, I simply move along.

Beer:Barrel:Time 2021 (first of any vintages I've had) is the highest rated beer on my BA profile now. I had this beer in early December.

From an 'available' perspective, that's much more difficult. The locals release on such a long rotating schedule that many of the lagers coming out now, I haven't seen since last year. Not really 'new', but I did miss them.

Favorite new to me beer? Fremont winter ale. Holy cow is that beer perfect.

I can't recall the specific beer, it may have been scorn, but @eppCOS compared TRVE brewing wcipa to champagne in the dryness and effervescence. It's a great take on the style for certain.

I'm with ya, and thanks to @SFACRKnight for the holler-up here, and I love what TRVE does with some of their pale ales/IPAs that are not the Brut IPA style, but nail some of the dryness without going nuts on the ABV front. Delightful.
For me, lately the Foeder Schwartzbier from Cerebral and Half Acre's Tend ('winter IPA') were both on point for me. Cheers, all....

Yeah, that's my point. Don't have a "favorite" - new or old - just a rotating group of a dozen (or two? or more? but whose counting?) beers I'll buy. Brands drop on and off the list all the time. But there is no actual list.

("Mr. Glum", tho' - isn't that a mid-western grocery store's house brand for their Dr. Pepper imitation?)

There's only been one beer in the last year (and I found it about 3 weeks ago) that has me running all over 2 counties looking for it like Johnny Cash after June Carter -

    St. Bernardus Christmas Ale

Late to the game, I know, but SN Celebration. No idea why it took me this long to try it.

I too have missed Storm King.

Last month I purchased a case of this beer (24 bottles). I can't remember the last time I purchased a case of beer.

Cheers to Victory for re-brewing Storm King!

Can’t wait to get through the entire lineup:grin:!!

SN Torpedo Extra IPA? Perhaps I should say rediscovered as I have drunk it off and on since its debut years ago. I recently went through a non-IPA drinking phase but Celebration Ale perked up my tastebuds for IPA once again. Torpedo is Celebration's kin and when found freshly canned or bottled (not a guarantee anymore), it's awesome as well as a bargain.

By no means a 'new' beer, (to the market or to me), but after not having had Stone IPA for ages, I've been drinking a ton of it lately. In a world of not-so-bitter-fruity-IPAs it sure does fill the west coast IPA void in my life.

Same thing for me! Oddly I only tried it about 2 years ago when they started offering stovepipe singles. I had always passed over Stone IPA for something newer or more interesting looking. I must say I do enjoy it now, although at times I do get a leafy/vegetable hop flavor which is not necessarily bad, but it is present.
