So I just bought a 12 pack of Finest Kind bottles. And the new labels only have ONE of the "geezers" on them. Anybody know anything about this?
They are rolling out new packaging for all of their beers. Should be changing over as we speak I've seen the new finest kind in 12's, 6ers and 6 pack cans!
JT from Smuttynose, here. @nathanb47 is spot on (thanks to @rknrll for posting the link). We're redoing all our packaging, starting with our year-round releases. Nearly everything has changed over. Pumpkin Ale is our first seasonal beer to get a redesign and our new Oktoberfest will fit the same design framework. The redesign is the first of some other changes we've got in the works for the next six months. Of course, we'll tell you more along the way. Cy hasn't gone away. He's still on the boxes and will be returning to the bottle labels in the near future. #cylives Cheers, JT
Awesome, I love smuttynose beer. I was recently enjoying both Bier de Shire and Ol Grundy Humper at the Brewery restaurant. Great stuff
Please god tell me that Oktoberfest will be in 12 ounce six packs this year? Also please do the Oktoberfest party again at the farm, that was amazing last year. And $3 per large stein pour....best deal in years!
Generally, I dig the new packaging, but the Finestkind photo is one of the most iconic beer labels in my mind--I'll have to save an old bottle as a keepsake. I absolutely love that it's available in 12-pack cans now, though, as it's a lot easier to carry home than the bottles.
We are doing Oktoberfest in 12 ounce six packs and also in Pumptoberfest 12 packs, with six bottles of Pumpkin Ale and six bottles of Oktoberfest. We brewed Oktoberfest this past Friday and again today. Our brewhouse loves decocting this beer! We have no Oktoberfest party updates at the moment, but I hope it comes back too. I've got lederhosen hanging in my closet just waiting to take another trip out into the world. Cheers, JT
